"If I'm louder, would you see me? Would you lay down in my arms and rescue me?"- Niall Horan 'More Than This'
Louise-
I cower in a far corner of the room and pull my knees up to my chest. Id rather stay in my corner than socialise with the other girls in 'Doncaster's Adoption Centre For Girls' who also want to be adopted by family.
My parents put me here. They didn't want me. At night I could hear them talking about me back at home. Well, maybe not my mum, but my father put me here. I could still hear his voice in my head.
"You'll never be anybody in this world, Louise. You're just a worthless mistake your mum and I made."
I sigh and lay my right cheek on top of my knees. I jut want to go home.
Louis-
"So this is her?" I ask, but realise I'm talking to myself. I hold up a school picture of a young girl with shoulder-length brown hair and big, blue eyes who looked no older than 11 years old.
So young.
I look up to see the doors of the 'Doncaster's Adoption Centre For Girls" before pushing open the doors and walking in. Looking around, I noticed there was a room. A waiting room.
The secretary behind the desk cleared her throat.
"Can I help you, sir?" She asks professionally, probably wondering why I'm standing in the middle of the room.
I look at her and force a smile and walk up to her desk.
"Actually, yes you can. I'm looking for a young girl here." I say and show her the picture.
She looks at it and smiles warmly before asking for my name and other information.
"Okay, Mr. Tomlinson you are set and ready. Just open that door to your left and from there, you can find your...?" She trails off.
"Daughter," I blurt "My daughter." I smile.
Why am I doing this? Probably because I'm involved with the government and I'll get 2,000 pounds for it.
She nods and presses a button and the door unlocks. I open it and walk in, closing the door behind me. Looking around, I see a bit of girls braiding each other's hair, reading, or just plain out talking to one another.
My eyes roam around until I find her cowered in a corner with her knees up to her chest. I grin slightly and walk up to her slowly and sit down on the white carpet.
She turns her head towards me slowly and looks at me. I smile warmly.
"Hello." I say softly.
"Hi." She whispers.
"What's your name?" To be honest, I didn't know her name or any other information. I just knew that I was to take her with me.
"Louise." She mumbles, still looking at me.
I smirk lightly.
"That's funny, because my names Louis."
She tilts her head a little as if she's interested in what I have to say.
"Are you adopting me?" She speaks up a bit louder.
"I would be lying if I said no."
Louise-
My eyes widen and I tackle him into a hug. I'm finally getting a home, but one question replays in my head.
"Why would he want me?"
But right now it didn't matter. I start sobbing. He rubs back and says reassurances in my hair.
"Thank you, Louis." I whisper. "Thank you."
