Ri-yong yells out to the bandits, "You guys never give up do you?"

"Like we would!" one of them yelled back.

"You guys are scared, aren't you?! Just turn back and I won't hurt you," she calls.

Some of the men quivered in fear and others were enraged. "Not until you're dead!" The men charged forward with weapons ready. Ri-yong unsheathed her sword and Ji-yong pulled out her knives. "This'll be fun, fighting with a lot of people," Ji-yong said excitedly.

"I could care less. Let's just get this over with," Ri-yong bluntly stated.

Ri-yong charged forward as well and began to strike down men that came within her range. Ji-yong laughed and darted forward to the fight. Hak and the dragon warriors split up to fight anyone who wandered off to break into homes.

Hak swung his spear and with one blow, men fell. They all stared in fear of his power. Kija, Shin-ha and Jae-ha attacked other men. They too began to fear the power of these strangers. Ri-yong swung her blade, men after men without stopping. Ji-yong stabbed her enemies in vital areas to leave them powerless. The two women were quick on their feet and swung at lightning speed. Ri-yong shouted to Ji-yong, "How you doing over there?"

"I am fine! Almost got 20! You?" she asked.

"Near 20 as well," Ri-yong called out.

A man swung at Ri-yong's head with her back to him. Shin-ha caught sight of this and was about to call out to her, but she was fast. Ri-yong swung behind her and slashed at the man's head. How fast, thought Shin-ha.

Hak and the dragon warriors cut down anyone who dared to get past. Ji-yong jumped backwards and landed next to Jae-ha. "You guys aren't that bad," she said amused.

"Not so bad yourself," he replied.

"Ji-yong! Someone's circling around!" called Ri-yong.

"Got it!" With that, she disappeared. Jae-ha simply looked around searching for her. How did she go that fast? My eyes couldn't keep up, Jae-ha thinks. Something about these girls makes me curious.

Ri-yong continued to cut and push the bandits back and away from the village. The men withdrew and held a line several feet away from her. "Let me see your leader!" Ri-yong said "Or is he too scared to see me?"

"You wench!" yelled one of the bandits. He was about to charge forward, but a man held him back. "Everyone, retreat!" he called.

All the men began to run back into the woods. Ji-yong fell from the sky and landed next to Ri-yong. "Well, they didn't last that long. I think it's pretty fortunate to have these guys here," said Ji-yong.

Ri-yong turned to them and bowed. "Thank you for fighting, though you didn't need to."

Hak stared at the two girls. Then, he said, "Who are you?"

"Pardon?" asked Ri-yong.

"You and Ji-yong fought at least half of their men, yet you don't have a single scratch on you. What are you?" he asked.

Ri-yong sighed. "Might as well tell you." She shared a look with Ji-yong.

"We are ninjas."

Silence. "What?"

Ji-yong stepped up and explained. "A long time ago, there were ninjas that lived on the borders of the Kouka kingdom. They prevented spies from entering and leaving. There were three ninja villages that guarded the border. But, not too long ago, they were totally wiped out. The history of their existence was forgotten and so were their fighting ways."
