That day started off just as normal as the other days I go to school. This one ended different. I found out that I have to go one a quest with my cousins, Sadie and Carter Kane.

Bonjour, I am Diana Kane. My father is Amos Kane. New Chief Lector. I lived with old Chief Lector Michel Desjardins, before he sacrificed himself for my cousins, Sadie and Carter Kane.

"Diana, we need to go now. We are going to be late." My mom says
"I am coming. Just my jacket is being stupid." I say
She comes into my room and helps me finish buttoning my jacket. She hands me my wand and I stick it in my boot. Then my staff, disguised as a hair clip. I pin my hair back with it.
"You ready?" She asks
I nod as we walk down to the car. I get in the front and we drive off to my school. My mom clocks in, I walk to my locker. I look in the mirror and look at the last ring my father gave me. An amulet with the hieroglyph of Sekhmet. I then look down at my wrist at the bracelet my mother gave me. The hieroglyph of family.
"Salute students. Welcome to the first day of the new term. We are happy to welcome the new teacher Miss.Evelyn." The principal said "We have two students here with the last name Kane. Sadie and Carter Kane. They are looking for a Diana Kane."
My eyes widen as I take my headphones off my ears and put them around my neck. I look at my best friend Caroline. She looks confused.
I shut my locker and start walking towards the office. As soon as it comes into view I saw two familiar heads. I whistle at them. Carter is the first one to turn around. I cover my mouth at how much he has changed. He walks out and over to me. I wrap my arms around his neck and hug him.
"Nice to see you again." Carter says as he hugs me back
"You too. It's been a very long 8 years." I say
"You think." Sadie says
I look at her and she hugs me. I laugh at them.
"Wait why are you guys here? Aren't you supposed to be with my dad." I ask them
"Your dad is now Chief Lector." Carter says
"No he is not. Desjardins is." I say confused
"No. You must not have been notified." Sadie said
"What do you mean?" I ask
"Desjardins sacrificed himself so me and Sadie got more time to defeat Apophis." Carter said
I look between them in shock.
"That is not possible." I yell
Before I knew it, I was running.
