Getting to know brian

"You're (864) 340-7354?" I asked him knowing the answer.

"Uh yeah."

"So what now?"

"There's no need to make this awkward. I like you and I want to know if you would like to go on a date with me on Friday."

"I um.. Well... Sure." I answered.

"YAY!!! I mean uh cool." Said Brian trying not to be exited. I blushed.

Suddenly I felt a violent touch on my back. "BOO!" It was my friend scarlet. "Don't do that! You know that scares me." I said catching my breath. Scarlet looked up and noticed Brian standing there. "Oh who's this Mara? He's cute." She said winking at me. Brian looked down at the ground feeling embarrassed. I grabbed Scarlet's hand and jerked her around the corner where Brian couldn't see us.

"Why would you say that?!" I asked a little mad.

"Sorry. It's not like you guys are going out."

I just looked at her without saying anything. I was wondering If I should tell her.

"You guys are going out aren't you?!" She asked assuming by my facial expression that she was right.

"Yes but it's just for one night." I said assuring her it wasn't anything serious.

"Oh. Yeah I'm very sorry." She said.

"It's ok. Are you ready to apologize to him?"

"Sure." We walked back to my locker to let her apologize. When we arrived, Brian was gone.

I looked at my phone and I had a text from him.
