A New Romance

Hospital Visit

I woke up to no Andy
I was still curled up in is bed like the lazy ass person I am...
I checked what time it was and slowly got up
I went and brushed my teeth
And I went downstairs and saw Andy on the couch
"Good Morning beautiful." Andy smiled
"Good Morning Handsome." I smiled
I groggily walked over to the couch and just collapsed next to him
"What's wrong?" He said while wrapping his arm around my shoulders
"I'm tired and I don't feel good..." I frowned
"I'm sorry babe." He responded
"It's fine....." I said and then I started to cough really hard
Andy felt my head
"Babe your burning..." He said
"Well I am wearing sweats." I coughed
"Here I'm gonna get the thermometer..." He quickly ran up to the bathroom upstairs
He ran back down and my the thermometer in my mouth
"100 degrees!!!" He said very concerning
"Calm down I'm gonna be fine! As long as I don't get to 110 I'm gonna be fine...." I said
"Kaya... I don't think you realize this but you are hotter than Los Angles weather right now...." He said
"Babe I know.... I have had shit like this before I'm gonna be fine..." I coughed
"Babe you need to call in work!" He said
"I can't miss work, I need the money!" I said
"This is for your health! Would you rather have the money or your well being?" He asked
"Fine... But I'm gonna take a cold shower..." I said
I slowly walked up the stairs
It hurts to move my body... Whenever I get really sick I move really slowly and it hurts
I slowly got into the shower and turned on the cold water
It felt really good
I got out of the shower and picked out a pair of yoga shorts I left here and a shirt from Andy's closet...
I slowly walked down stairs
I saw Andy smoking outside
I didn't want to bother him so I laid down on the couch...
I felt really weak and not useful at all, I have never felt this way.... The only time I have felt this way was when I had pneumonia...
I hope I don't have pneumonia...
I started to fall asleep until Andy walked back into the house
"Kaya you feelin better?" He asked
"No..." I said weakly
He walked over and sat next to me
He put my head on his lap...
"Baby your sweating..." He explained
"I know..." I coughed
"What do you want to do?" Andy asked
"Just sleep." I said
"Ok." He smiled
I started coughing really bad and I got up and spit something in a towel
It was blood and mucus
I started to get really worried
"Andy!!!!" I screamed from the kitchen
I saw Andy run to the kitchen
"What's wrong?" He asked
"We need to go to the hospital.... Now..." I said
"Wait what why?!" Andy said worriedly
"I just coughed up blood..." I said weakly
Andy picked me up and he ran me to his car
He started to drive really quickly
-23 minutes later-
He then picked me up again and then ran me to the Urgent Care Section of the hospital
"I can walk you know..." I said
"I know but I'm trying to get you there quicker!" He said out of breath
We got there
Andy set me down and then ran up to the desk
"What's wrong?" The desk lady said
"My girlfriend is sick and she coughed up blood!" He said
Girlfriend? I thought to myself
"Ok!" The nurse said
She ran and got stretcher
I got on slowly and they ran me through the hospital to a room
We got to a room and they hooked up to an I.V
"So what's gonna happen now?" I asked the nurse
"We are gonna need to take some blood samples and then do an x-Ray of your lungs." He said
"Why?" I asked
"We want to know if you have a bacterial infection..." He said
He left the room to I think get something to take my blood
Andy got up from his chair
"I'm gonna be fine..." I smiled
"You just coughed up blood how can you think your gonna be fine!" Andy said
"I bet you it's just pneumonia... I have had it before... They are just probably gonna put me on bed rest, and give me some pills..." I said while grabbing his hands
"I guess our date is off for tonight." Andy laughed
"We can always watch romantic movies and cook." I said
"But I wanted to take you out." Andy frowned
"We can do that when I get better!" I smiled
The nurse walked in and drew my blood
"Alright let's go take your x-Ray." The nurse said
I walked with Andy and the nurse to get and x-Ray of my lungs
-10 minutes later-
We walked back to the hospital bed room and we had to wait until the x-rays were gonna be processed
The nurse walked in and showed us the x-rays
"So you have no bacterial infection. But you do have walking pneumonia, which isn't bad. But you will have to take some medicine for it. Also you will have to take things easy for about 4-8 days. That means no hard core work, no exercising, also you can't go to work. Also, if you do smoke don't also if there is any one that does smoke you can't go near them while they are smoking... The smoke can cause a bacterial infection which means you will have to come back to the hospital." The nurse explained
"I smoke outside. What should I do after I smoke?" Andy asked
"As long as you don't kiss her after you smoke that's good. Also don't breath on her cause that can contract something to go into her lungs.... If you do want to do any of those things I would just brush your teeth." The nurse explained to Andy
"Also on the subject of kiss and or anything intimate, please don't kiss or have sex when you are trying to get better. Once you finish the pills and you are starting to feel better you can do these things. Just check in with a doctor." The nurse said
"Alright thank you so much." I said
"Your welcome, your free to leave now." He said
Andy and I walked out hand in hand to the car
"Wow I can't kiss you for more than four days... Life isn't fucking fair any more..." He humphed
"On the subject of kissing and anything to do relationship wise... What are we?" I asked
"Oh yeah that brings me to the question.... Will you be my girlfriend?" He said while turning towards me
"Of course I would." I said while hugging him
I kissed him on the cheek
"He never said about anything one the cheek." I laughed
"True." Andy laughed
We got into the car and drove back to his house.
