I was cornered, trapped, surrounded, Taking in my last few dozen breaths. As I kneeled into the gravel falling slowly to my palms while he stared tauntingly at me through the blurs.
"Things could have gone better, Cory. We could've...

Dylan was obviously ecstatic to be out with me today. And I took him to the only hangout I know best, Jitters.
Because the bar is unacceptable. And it's closed. But mainly because it's unacceptable.
I'm honestly beginning to think that I need to take a day off eventually to tour around Central City. My sense of direction gets jumbled often on my way home. You wouldn't believe the number of times I've walked into the wrong house before. Just like you won't believe the number of people who leave their front door unlocked. And the equal amount of time people stay inside with just their underwear.
Thursday was my day off of work so I thought their really isn't any other better time than to bring Dylan along.
The bell rang as usual above the door and this particular time, Iris wasn't here to greet us. Thank god, I was a bit afraid she'd pull me aside for a brief questioning as to why I had Dylan with me. More like full out interrogation in the back with dramatic lighting and everything.
If she thinks I can't see the way she tries to set up Allen and I, then she's as blind as she acusses me to be.
The two of us took a high legged table on the first floor and ordered both a chocolate milkshake and cronut. Its been Iris' latest craze lately, I've considered taking her word for it too.
"What?" Dylan sat across from me, hands folded together and simply stared at me.
"Nothing."
"Than why are you staring?"
He chuckled quietly. "I'm scared that if I look away, you'll steal my money again."
I laughed-cackle is the right word- and not in a flirtatious matter either. It resembled the wicked witch of the west ready to strike Dorothy.
"That was just one time. Besides I promised I wouldn't do it again."
He waved his hands up in surrender. "Don't worry I believe everything that spits from your rotten yellow teeth."
This time I snorted. Ain't that just lovely. "You're doing it again. You're staring."
He shrugged. "Can't help it your beautiful." At this moment our orders arrived. I took my milkshake and mimicked Dylan's staring as I sipped.
"What?"
"You're a very contradicting person." He took a sip as well before replying, "How so?"
