- He's the right hand/15-years friend of Crown Prince Jonghyun. He becomes a vampire after the Guardian Gwi bite him and pass the vampire's blood to him before the Guardian died. He looks for the secret plan written in Jonghyuns memorandum to get rid of Gwi . Then,meets Yang sun, the bookseller and later fall in love with her. He's one of the secret plan.
Shim Chang-min as Crown Prince Lee Yoon
-The lustful student. He borrows and distribute the works made by lustful student 120 yrs.ago which is Crown Prince Jonghyun. He also wants to get rid of Gwi and have a philosophy that a nation should be rule by the people. He's one of the secret plan. While drawing an obscene picture at the Hwayang-gak he met Yang sun, whom he find out his lost bestfriend 10 years ago.

-The evil vampire. He's the king of the nation living in the underground palace. He become a king after one person comes to him and asked for power and in return he will rule the nation during night. He fall in love with a human 200 years ago but killed her as soon as he found out she carries his baby in her womb but the baby survived.
Lee Yu-bi as Jo Yang-sun/Seo-jin
-The bookseller who disguise as a man to support her family. She's also the daughter of deceased nobleman and long lost bestfriend of Crown Prince Lee Yoon but she can't remember at all. She was framed as the lustful student but her father take the blame instead. She fall in love with the night scholar. She's one of the secret plan.
Kim So-eun as Choi Hye-ryung/Lee Myung-hee
-She's the doppleganger of past lover of Seung-yol and a follower of Gwi. Her father sacrifed her for the sake of power. She become the Queen of Crown Prince Lee Yoon and died while protecting him.
Jang Hee-jin as Soo-hyang
-She manages the Hwayang-gak and becomes a loyal follower of Kim Sung-yeol after saving her from a vampire when she's a child. She developed a feelings towards the night scholar.
Han Jung-soo as Baek In-ho
-He's the teacher of Lee Yoon when he was a child. He become a hunter after the incident happened in the palace 10 years ago. He helps the Crown Prince to find Yang-sun but soon join forces to the night scholar when he saved him and found out about the secret plan .He died by protecting Yang-sun.
Choi Tae-hwan as Ho-jin
-Loyal follower of Kim Sung-yeol. He was saved by the scholar and raised him when he was a child.
Lee Soon-jae as King Hyeonjo
-Grandfather of Lee yoon. He knows that his grandson was the lustful student and to protect him, he framed Yang-sun.
Jang Seung-jo as Crown Prince Sadong (Lee Yoon's father)
-He was killed by Gwi and share the same philosophy with his son who wants to run the nation by humans.

RANDOM THOUGHTS:
I really recommend this drama, the actors are great and the plot twist will really leaves you astonish.xD. Although it ends with a happy ending, I just feel sorry towards King Lee-yoon. Gwi is sooo hot plus his looks and his voice.shems. The ost are also great. I'm still having this last song syndrome.xS. Well, I also admire Lee Hyun-woo who takes the role of Crown Prince Junghyun,hhhahaaa. Kyopta.xD . Anyways, he worked with Kim Soo Hyun oppa in the film "Secretly,Greatly"
