Why Me? Part 1 *Chapter 14*

Madisyn's POV:

Zach invited me over to his house tonight to sleep over,since today is Friday. It has been a week since the incident with Edwin. Oh yeah. I forgot to mention! There's these two twin girls that moved into the house across the street from mine. There names are Veronica and Vanessa. I think they also have a YouTube channel. Their username is The Merrell Twins I believe. They're very kind and don't seem like the kind of people to stab you in the back or talk shxt. They're both really nice but Veronica seems to connect more with me. But I don't know they're both really nice. So back to my point I was going to sleep over Zach's house tonight but I have to go shopping with Roni and Nessa first. We decided to go to the mall. They were going to pick me up. So,while I was walking home from school. I stopped by Zach's house since the twins were coming at 5:30 and it was currently 2:15. So, I unlocked Zach's front door and walked inside.

Zach wasn't home yet. So I decided to wait for him. I walked up to his room and sat down at his computer chair. I turned on the laptop and there was a picture of him stage kissing one of his fans. I shut off his computer and then my phone went off. It scared me. It was an amber alert in my area! Oh no! The kids name was Jeffrey. Whew I got nothing to worry about! Oh no! It was on Whipple Street! Which is 2 streets down from mine! Oh no I need to text Zach to come home right away! I text him.

Maddie- "BABE COME HOME NOW!!!!"
Zach-"BABE WHATS WRONG?!"
Maddie-"THERES AN AMBER ALERT ON WHIPPLE STREET!! YOU NEED TO COME HOME NOW!!"
Zach-"What about you?!"
Maddie-"I'm already at your house! Come on! RUN!"

No response. I'm afraid something is going to happen to him! Then. I hear the door open then shut. I run into his closet afraid that maybe the kidnapper is in his house. Then all of a sudden I hear something so I shut up because I'm breathing heavily. "Maddie?!" I try to listen better to who is calling my name. "Maddie?! Where are you?!" I start looking around and see that there's a picture of Zach when he was 2. He was so goddamn cute! I pick up that picture and behind it I see a picture with him and some other girl. I see that this girl was beautiful! She resembled him a little bit. In this picture he was about 9. And the girl looked like she was 6. Wow! That beautiful at about 6?! Oh my god if only I can dream! I pick it up and look at the back. It says Zach Clayton and Melissa Clayton. So, all I can think of is that it's either his cousin or sister. But I don't think he has a sister. Or does he? I walk out of the closet and see Zach spread out on his bed with a worried look on his face. He glances over at me and a smile appears across his face. I run into his arms. He looks so happy! "Oh my god Maddie I thought something happened to you!" He starts to calm down. He lays down on the bed and I cuddle up next to him. He hugs me until we both fall asleep. I wake up at about 3:51. I wake up Zach and he looks at me and smiles. "Babe I had the worst dream!" "Really what was it?" "Ok so I thought you got kidnapped but you ended up just being in my closet!" "Um babe?" "Yeah?" "That was real. It literally happened like an hour ago." "REALLY?!" "Yeah..." "Oh..." "I've got to go. Bye!" "Bye." I walked out of his house and over to mine where I went up to my room to get ready. I don't think anybody was home. I first walked over to my closet where I just picked out one of my simple outfits. It's a white crop top with peach colored floral shorts. Also, with a peach flower crown and a white coverup with brown sandal flats with a necklace and a bunch of rings. I put on mascara and a little eyeshadow. I also put on black lipstick. I end up straightening my hair since it's always naturally curly. Next thing I know it's 5:25 and I unplug my phone from the charger which I forgot to bring to school with me today. It's at 100%. Luckily. I then get a text from Roni that says "Hey Maddie we r outside" "Ok I'll be right out" I grab my phone and about to run outside when I back up to the table next to my front door and grab my wallet. I then walk outside and realize that I haven't heard from Dakota in 2 weeks. He still hasn't moved in but the sign says SOLD! Was he lying to me. I climb in their Chevy and we drive off to the mall. I decide to text Dakota.

M-Hiiii
D-Hey
M-Aren't you happy to be texting me?
D-Um no not really
M-WHAT?! Why?! We haven't talked in 2 weeks!
D-I know...
M-But why?
D-Everybody on my Twitter is saying that you're talking shit about me
M-BUT IM NOT
D-Yeah right! You've got all your new friends now in Texas! No need for anyone in Mass or New Hampshire!
M-YOU DONT BELIEVE ME?! Wow Dakota! Ok that's it I'm done with this shit I'm not talking to you anymore if you can't date to fucking believe me after we've been friends our ENTIRE lives!

No response. He must've been fired up! I sure know I was but I'm not going to let that ruin my day. I'm going to have a fun day with Roni and Nessa. He's such a dick. I'm sick of him. No wonder I haven't thought of him in a while! We arrive at the mall and then I get a text from an unknown number.

U-You'll regret that bitch!
M-Who are you?! How'd you get my fucking number you pervert?!
U-You'll see when it's the end of your life later on this year.

I decide to not reply since this person is threatening. But, I do screenshot the conversation. And write down their number since I know how to make the unknown number show. Whoever that was tho must really be obsessed with Dakota! I just sit there until I realize that both twins are screaming my name for me to get out. "Oh...haha!" They start laughing and we head to the mall entrance. Then I start to realize what I said to my best friend. NO I think to my self in my head. This cannot be happening!!!! Then i realize I've made a huge mistake and need to tell him that what I said was wrong! Why me?! I thought to myself. WHY ME?! WHY ME?! WHY MEEEEEE?!?!?!

A/N-OMG GUYS IM SO SORRY!!! My brain has just been like shutting down as soon as I want to write something. Like...WRITERS BLOCK!!! And also I have school which sucks!
