Chapter 2: You're kidding me right?

After dinner, Sadie and John Luke spent the night. It was now December 23. My birthday was tomorrow! YAY! I let Sadie sleep in my room and John Luke slept in the living room. In the morning I was awake at 6:30 AM. UGG. I got up and quietly walked down the stairs and saw John Luke sleeping on the couch. I smiled and walked into the kitchen. My house is a 2 story house, its in the country, it has 2 bedrooms, a huge living room and each room has a bathroom. Anyway I walked into the kitchen and grabbed a bowl of cereal. I know what you're thinking its 6:40 and you're eating. I got up from my chair and walked over to the sink and washed the bowl out and got a glass of milk. I turned around and found John Luke watching me. " Hey John Luke." " Hey, what are you doing up this early?" " I'm always up around this time" He made an "O" shape with his mouth. I nodded. We both whipped our heads toward the door. Who was here at this time in the morning. I looked back at John Luke who had a smile on his face. " I'll get the door." he got up before I could say anything. I heard the door open and then a voice I thought I would never hear again. Emily. I quickly walked up stairs and walked into my bedroom. Sadie was watching T.V when she looked up at me. " What's wrong  Jamie?" " Your brother brought Emily back to my house." she sighed and we both jumped to the sound of stuff being thrown and screaming. Sadie and I exchanged looks and we both ran down stairs. We got down the stairs to see John Luke scared and Emily holding a plate. MY stuff was being thrown. " WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON DOWN HERE?!" Emily rolled her eyes and threw the plate at John Luke. I watched the plate miss him by like half an inch. She walked out of the kitchen and walked out of the door. I sighed and went over to John Luke, who was still in shock. " Sadie, help your brother clean himself up." She waked over and helped John Luke to the bathroom. I grabbed the broom and started cleaning up the mess of broken glass. " Jamie Lynn, you didn't have to clean up that mess I would have done it.": " No its fine John Luke." He came up and hugged me he softly whispered " I'm so sorry you had to clean up this mess." " Don't fret about it John Luke, its fine." I was thinking about my childhood.

~FLASHBACK~

I was sitting in my room while my parents were fighting. I heard things being thrown and my mom screaming. " WOULD YOU STOP DANIEL? YOUR 7 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IS SITTING IN HER ROOM, PROBABLY SCARED TO DEATH BECAUSE HER FATHER ISNT THROWING THINGS AT HER MOTHER." I was terrified.  I heard my dad leave the house so I went down and grabbed the broom and started cleaning the broken pieces.

~END FLASHBACK~

I guess I was crying because John Luke picked me up bridal style and carried me into my room and we talked for about 2 hours. " how about this, I am going to take you out for dinner for your birthday." " Sure." I smiled and he kissed my cheek and said " I'll pick you up at 7:00. I smiled and he and Sadie left.

~5:00 pm~

I had already showered and dried my hair. I grabbed my white dress with a brown belt, a black blazer, silver and black strappy heals. J and C earrings and necklaces, a white purse, a gold ring, a silver ring, a heart necklace and some smokey eye shadow and my " My Heart belongs to John Luke Robertson" phone case. ~7:00~

I waited on my couch. I heard a knock at the door, I hopped up and answered the door. John Luke was standing there waiting for me with a bunch of green roses.( http://www.poshposy.net/infopages/images-large/dozengreen.jpg) I smiled and let him in. I walked into the kitchen and got a vase to but the flowers in. " Theses are absolutely beautiful!" " I bet I could name something that's even prettier," I looked at him and thought Emily. I smiled and hid my disappointment.  I guess John Luke sensed my unhappiness because he frowned at me. " Jamie. what has ya disappointed?" " Hmm OH nothing."  we walked to his truck. He grabbed me by the waist and picked me up and sat me in the truck. I put my phone in my purse because I didn't want him to see my phone case. He got into the drivers seat and we drove to where ever we were going. I heard Hicktown playing and found out it was my phone. My mom who I haven't  talked to since I was  15 was calling me. I decided I would answer since I was going to be in the truck for awhile.  I made sure my phone was on the right side so John Luke couldn't see my phone case.

~Phone Convo~

JALY: Hello

Mom: That's all I get is a hello, I haven't seen you since you were 15.

JALY: What do you want?

Mom: for my daughter to come see me on her birthday.

JALY: Sorry I'm really busy right now.

Mom: what could you possibly be doing that's more important than seeing your mom?

JALY: Everything but I'm going to dinner with a friend.

Mom: who is this friend

JALY: None of your business good bye.

~ End phone convo~

I quickly put my phone in my purse and turned my head out of the window. When I suddenly feel a hand intertwined with mine, I down at my hand that John Luke had intertwined his with. I looked at him and he looked back and smiled.  We finally got to the restaurant. we both ate and John Luke said he had something else planned. I followed him to a dock looking thing in the back of the restaurant. John Luke grabbed both of my hands and looked me in the eyes and said " Jamie Lynn, you are the prettiest girl I have ever seen. You make me happy in ways other people cant, you cheer me up when I am sad. You can tell I'm hiding something by just looking at my eyes, we get along so well. I can't be just best friends with you. I wanted to ask you something. I wanted to know if you would be my girlfriend?" I could tell he meant everything he said. I had tears streaming down my face. " John Luke, I yes." He smiled and wrapped me into a hug. He pulled away and he kissed me. HE KISSED ME!!! Sparks flew everywhere. We pulled away and we smiled." We better get going. My parents are going to flip if I'm not home." We intertwined our fingers and walked to his truck. He drove me home. He walked over to me and grabbed my waist and pulled me out of the truck. I kissed him and unlocked my door. I sat my purse on the ground and changed into my pjs and fell asleep on the couch.
