I glance at my arm again, at the small numbers and words tattooed there. October 14th, 2015, 12:14 pm. I know what they mean, but I'm still scared. Everyone says it's not bad, that it'll be fine. But no one told my stomach that. Because it's October 14th, 2015, 12:09, and I'm about to meet the love of my life. It seems so weird that I'm going to meet him today, after all I'm only 15. My best friend Emily helped me get ready, mostly normal cloths, black jeans, my scuffed up purple converse, and an oversized Mortal Instruments sweater. She insisted on straitening my hair, saying "Even though it's already straight, I'm gonna do it anyway and you can't stop me Sadie." 12:11. It's almost here. 12:12. 12:13. I stand up. Something seems to draw me toward the center of our school lunchroom. I look around wondering who it's going to be. We got 3 new kids last week, could it be one of them? What about a shy kid that I've never noticed? My breaths become short, I'm watching the clock now. 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2,... I trip over something, and someone catches me. A boy. Blue eyes, black hair, and a smile. He silently holds up his wrist. It reads October 14th, 2015, 12:14 pm. The same as mine.
