Finally out of the orphanage and into my new family's home, I was going to live with my great-aunt Rebecca and her friend's daughter, Elizabeth.
"I heard they have a girl around your age living with them Thomas," my care taker once said, "oh! Won't it be wonderful!"
"Yes ma'am" I replied, trying to sound as enthusiastic as she did.
Truth be told, I don't really want to live with her. I feel like my home is here, and my mother and father will come back for me soon. But, growing up in England was never easy, there were a lot of parents who could not keep their children, because of the poor food and lack of jobs.
