Either the bags were slowing me down or I was getting lazy, the trip to the top of the block of flats was longer than it used to be but we eventually got to my old 'mind clearing place' as I used to call it. The heat was unbearable; I felt like I was going to collapse. Elizabeth soon was behind me with double the luggage I had ... I was getting lazy.

From up here you could see everything ... or at least what used to be everything. London was a wreck, the eye was in the Thames; Parliament was or fire, but then again that may be a good thing since the government started messing up my life. Big Ben was broken and the whole city was lying in ashes with only a few places still intact, one of those places was not to be standing much longer, creatures started dragging themselves out of the ground all of them heading straight for us.

"I thing we should run" I said, my eyes still focused at the advancing army of disembodied beings.

"Sure thing sis ... just one thing, hoe the hell are we supposed to get down." She had a point, all the enamouring buildings were pretty much demolished and we couldn't very easily use the stairs. The demons had us surrounded.

I took a deep breath, found my heading and closed my eyes.

"Scarlet ... what are you doing?" I heared Elisabeth say, a hint of worry present in her voice. Before she had time to convince me not to, I jumped. I fell onto my knees on a pile of rubble which used to be the top three floors of the neighbouring block of flats, my jeans were bloody and ripped but  I was alive.

Jump I mouthed to Elizabeth so the swarm below wouldn't notice. I beckoned her to the edge, but she froze when she saw her potential fate below.

"It's either die falling or get ripped to shreds by demons before you can find an angel. Your choice" I yelled impatiently.

"I don't prefer either" She squealed back.

"Well..." I hesitated for another excuse. "An angel may catch you if you fall" I screamed desperately as the demons finally reached the building and some of the smarter one were coming straight for me. There wasn't much time it was either now or never.
