The line moved rather quickly allowing me and Oliver to be seated and waiting in no time. "Nervous?" He asks as I watch the wheel slowly begin to turn, raising us higher and higher.

"Not really. It's not like we could potentially fall to our deaths or anything." He chuckles and casually puts his arm around me. "Don't worry, you're safe with me."

"My true Prince Charming. First you save me from Calculus now your protecting me from falling off a Ferris wheel. Got any more tricks up your sleeve?"

His face gets serious as stares down at the scenery below. "I'd like to think I saved you from those bullies in middle school too."

Shocked, I arch my brows. Over the last couple of days with Oliver I didn't think he even remembered that time in middle school, let alone be the first one to bring it up. "You remember that?"

His sighs and nods. "How could I forget, they were complete jerks. I couldn't just stand by and let them mess with you like that."

I stare at my shoes as the humiliation from that day comes flooding back.  "They never messed with me after that you know." I look up and happen to catch his gaze. "They must have really been scared of that air horn."

He manages to crack a small smile. "That sure shocked them didn't it? Who would have expected a kid with an air horn to save the day?"

I smile back as I remember how shocked those bullies truly were. "Why'd you have that anyway? I've always wondered." His smiles a real smile, a twinkle in his eye.

"Let's just say I surprised a certain couple in one of the janitors closets."

My eyebrows raise even higher.

"Seriously?"

"Seriously. It was so annoying seeing those two make out every day on the way to second period. So one day I just decided to mess with them because, well, just because." He shrugs likes its nothing but I'm officially intrigued.

"Who?"

"Brianna Ross and Liam Hamilton."

"No way!"

He has the decency to look slightly embarrassed. "Yes way." I throw back my head and laugh. "Those two were like the power couple of seventh grade, I always wondered where they went off to in between classes."

He adjusts his arm around me, pulling me closer. "Well mystery solved."

We sit in a comfortable silence as the wheel slowly lowers us down on back on the ground. "It's over already? I didn't even realize when we got to the top."

We come to a stop and the man working the ride comes over and opens our door. "Time flies when your having fun."

I smile and nod. "That it does."

"So, how was it? And you have to give me a real answer this time, you promised." He says as we begin making our way to the parking lot. "Eh, it was alright."

"Seriously?" He ask, feigning hurt.

"No." I say while laughing. "It was amazing, really."

"Not as amazing as you." He whispers. Shocked, I look up and see something in his eyes I've never seen before.

"Oliver..." He breaks eye contact and stares at his feet. "Sorry, am I moving to fast? I just thought you know you told me you liked me in the library and I told you and..." I sigh and stuff my hands in the pocket of my hoodie.

"Spending time with you these past few days has been amazing, truly. I just feel like I haven't gotten to really know you is all." I trail off and try to figure out the best way to word what I'm feeling.

"I mean I don't know your favorite color, favorite animal, what kind of music you like, I don't even know what you like to do for fun besides apparently going to the fair."

He's quiet as I finish my rant. "I like you, I just don't know you."

He nods and continues walking in silence. Finally after a few moments he looks at me. "Forest green, I like penguins, I write my own music, and I love playing my guitar. On the weekends I go out and play gigs whenever I can."

"You play guitar?"

"I live for the guitar." I smile and stop in front of his truck. "You'll have to play me a song one day."

He searches for his keys and unlocks the doors. "Who knows maybe I'll even write you one."
