A week had past and I was now assigned to work today, but I didn't mind. The week went by smoothly, with Jack and I becoming best friends. I really liked the guy and hoped we could be more. When I had told him what the doctor told me, about me never getting my memory back, he sulked but told me one day I'd know the truth to my life.

I was on my way to work when I smiled at Rose. "Hey, take care of my man, okay?"

She nodded, laughing lightly as she dusted a counter off and handed me my jacket with her free hand. I took it and left, but before I got to the building, I found two men shooting up a store. I stopped my car quickly and ran in with a gun. One of the men had been shot by the store owner as his buddy, the other man, held a gun up to the cashier's face in anger. I held up my gun at him.

"Hold it right there," I firmly spoke with eyes locked on him. I was not going to shoot. I was going to drop my gun with him, and then tackle him to the floor and pin him down, I had already called for back up a while ago so I was going to hold the man down while backup came. I was able to capture criminals like crocodiles and I was the only one allowed to do exactly so, since it made me feel safer to do things my own way.

The man chuckled darkly. ""You're a woman,' he spoke. "You have no place in this world besides in the kitchen!"

I froze.

That phrase.

I heard it somewhere before...

Suddenly a memory came back to me, when I first started out in my real job and those filthy con artists told me that exact phrase.

This wasn't me. It was quite the opposite.

I was. . . . .

Head strong. . . . .

Sexy. . . .

Clever. . . .

And most of all, I was devious.

I shot the man in the head instantly, smirking. "Is that how you talk to Hush, boy?"

The cashier shrieked as I held my gun up to him. "You make a sound and you'll end up headless." I was bluffing, of course, but he didn't know. I didn't want him to shoot me, since I noticed he adverted his gun at me, he thought I couldn't see it but if anything, being at the GCPD helped train me even further in being an excellent criminal.

I turned, hearing the cops coming. I laughed so hard it almost came out as a scream. "Seems we're back on track!" I ran out, taking my car and driving off, blending in with every cop in the same place.

That criminal! Who did he think he was for making fun of me? The nerve!

When I arrived at home, Jack was in the house, I smirked widely at him. He raised his eyebrow at me.

"Baby. . . . I'm back." I raised up my hands, laughing maniacally. He grinned widely, Rose heard me and turned to look at me, holding a gun up with anger in her sharp eyes, not a red curl out of place upon her head.

"You are under arrest for robbery, murder, speeding, refusing to pull over and several other offences. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have a right to an attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, one will be appointed for you."

I smirked. "Oh, you little fool. You really didn't think I knew you were a cop?" I turned to Jack. "Get Arsen and run."

"But–"

"Look, I know last time I told you to do this it didn't end so well but I got this, alright? Now go!"

He nodded quickly, running to Arsen and escaping with him.

I looked at Rose, smirking. "Go ahead. Shoot me!"

She pulled the trigger but the gun merely made a clicking noise. She looked at it in disbelief.

"I emptied it when I first found out. You never get the chance to check it so I guess I win." I walked up to her, she backed up with wide eyes. "Next time try being smart about this, hm doll?"

"You're a monster!" she tackled me on the ground, punching me in the face, but I angrily flipped her on her back.

"I'm the monster? You lied to me, you guys nearly made me kill my own husband! You guys lied to me and put me in this stupid job, because I am so capable of bending and making the law! You used me as a pawn without caring about my son and what would happen to him," I sneered, taking out my gun.

"It was the only option!" she shouted, shakily eyeing my gun.

"No it wasn't," I growled. "You could have given me my own fucking life with a different job, one that didn't set me up to kill my husband, you dirty piece of trash!"

I hit her on the top of the head with the butt of my gun. I wasn't going to kill her. No, I couldn't right now. She didn't seem like she deserved to die. She was doing her job.

I got up.

"GCPD will pay." I spoke, mouth formed in a straight line, then got up, got my stuff and Arsen's stuff, then left to Jack's house.

I opened the door and walked in, seeing Jack standing in front of the door way but at least three feet away. Arsen was sitting on the couch watching a kid's show, but I pay no attention to the show.

I only paid attention to the man standing before me.

I ran to him and hugged him tightly, collapsing in his arms as I sobbed quietly, he stoked my hair gently.

"You're finally home." he whispered softly, seeming to contain tears from spilling out of his eyes.

"I am," I spoke back, my grip on him tightening as if he would suddenly unexpectedly let go. "I am."
