The beginning of the end...

"RASENGAN!" screamed Naruto as he tried to hit his enemy with his signature move. However, this proved to be a waste of energy as Pein simply dodged the attack. "Almighty push" said Pein as Naruto ran towards him. The Uzumaki was thrown back several yards by the fearsome attack. "You will know pain. Such is the fate of a fool who believes that peace can be achieved by simply..... believing in it" Pein chastised the sage as said sage rushed at the leader of the akatsuki. The head Pein simply smiled as each path rushed at Naruto simultaneously. 'Too many at once. Need to thin out the herd' Naruto thought to himself. It was here where Naruto created some shadow clones in preparation to release his new attack. "Ok guys, let's do this! Wind style-" Naruto was about to use his new jutsu as he was forced to dodge a barrage of missiles. 'Damn, and here I thought I would have time to use this' Naruto thought to himself as he jumped back, sending his clones forward. Naruto's mind raced as he tried to keep all the variables in his head. He watched as his clones were picked off one by one before none were left.

"This..boy holds potential, he could be useful" a man said, as he stood on the edge of the crater that could once be called Konohagakure. The man's slicked back, brown locks swayed in the breeze that ran in rhythm with the battle below, a fiendish dance to the death. The man with the swaying hair was unnoticed by everyone, as if he wasn't there. Soon, the figure was joined by another, this one with hair of stunning, unruly silver and eyes like a snake. "Aizen-taicho" the "silver snake" said to the other man, "we should be heading back to Las Noches. We can watch the boy from there". The man now known as Aizen simply replied "alright Gin" as the two figures walked into the forest, the entire world blissfully unaware of their presence in the first place

----------with Naruto----------

Naruto was currently dodging everything being thrown at him, or at least trying to. He had run out of sage mode chakra from his first clone at Mt.Myoboku and was currently waiting on the second to completely charge up on nature chakra so Naruto could make the transformation. He was running with everything he could too no avail.

-------Kyuubi sewer--------

"Naruto you puny brat! Let me out of this cage and I'll squash this bug of an opponent! LET ME OUUUUUUUUT" The Kyuubi screamed from inside Naruto's head. Naruto looked at his "companion", as if you could call the Kyuubi that. "Shut the hell up you stupid fox. All you do is destroy and corrupt, and I won't let you do it any longer. I refuse to call on your power. Even if it kills me". Oh how ironic that statement would later become.

    Naruto came back to his senses just in time to dodge another strike from his enemy. "Pay attention Naruto Uzumaki!" Pein said as he continued his onslaught.

    'I'm running out of chakra' Naruto thought as he dodged endlessly, his sage chakra spent, all he could do was dodge and wait for a possible opening. None came, he was caught off guard and was hurled like a rag doll into a rock formation. It was here that Pein stabbed chakra conducting rods into Naruto's arms and legs, immobilizing the boy.

    "Farewell, Naruto Uzumaki. As I told you, this world will know Pain" Pein stated as he grabbed another chakra conducting rod. Naruto simply grinned and spat in Pein's face. Pein grimaced and stabbed the chakra conducting rod through Naruto's heart, killing him.
