Escaping the dead part 1

Alicia had always hated the dense bush in Alanta with its lack of shelter. It was a place where she felt eerie.
She was a sly, talented, fair skinned girl with tall legs and beauty seen from miles away. Her personality always displayed her as a courageous and strong willed girl. Once, she had killed a walker with her bare hands and that talent is what kept her alive for so long.

Alicia walked over to the window of an old run down shack. Her surroundings seemed thick and luscious but always hazardous as walkers roamed non-stop in this deserted part of town. The suns rays flowed down rapidly displaying that the time was around midday with the hottest temperatures circulating around in the shelter Alicia was waiting out the wild heat in. As she glanced from the corner of her eye, she saw something in the distance, or rather someone. It was the figure of Chris Ortiz. Chris was an alert, brave guy with skinny legs and a fair complexion just like Alicia's. As he approached the door of the shelter Alicia was in, he caught a sight of a figure almost as if it was standing directly there.

Alicia had froze at the window hoping no sudden movements will lure this survivor away from the mysterious shack. She tried to keep quiet as he entered the house, trying not to show signs of human life present within the walls of Chris' newly found shelter.

Chris turned the corner into the room where Alicia was standing frozen. About to exchange glances and frights, Alicia darts quickly behind the counter at the far back of the room.

Chris had curiosity running through his mind as what was present in the place he took shelter. As he slowly ghost walks up to the place where noise was present, he goes to peer over the counter when he is stopped by a surrender of misery and weakness and Alicia slowly starts to show herself.
