Brantley's POV:

"Here ya go little rabbit." I said as I handed Blake another drink from behind. She was talking to one of the girl's at the party and hadn't seen me walk up. When my arm came around her shoulders, she squealed, grabbed the drink, and took off. Again. Like a little rabbit. Hence the nickname. I sighed and headed after her. When I caught up with her, I grabbed her hand and swung her into my arms, caging her in so she couldn't run. She looked up at me with pink cheeks and wide eyes. "Why do you keep running from me?" I asked her honestly. She just blinked up at me. She was trembling, so I let her go and backed off, thinking she was afraid of me. "I'm sorry I scared ya, I didn't mean to just come up and grab ya, I just wanted to talk." I explained trying to settle her down. She held her hand up to stop me. Blake fidgeted in place, her eyes locked on my boots. "You didn't scare me. Don't ever think that I'm afraid of you, you have no reason to apologize. I'm sorry I'm being a little neurotic. This caught me by surprise, and a little notice to get past the 'flip out' stage would've been great. Obviously, I'm a huge fan, and meeting you is pretty awesome. But I'm still in freak out mode. For reasons that I'm SO not going into right now, I'm gonna go murder Jake and Maxie now.." She trailed off and spun, bolting once again. Damn it! I just wanted to get to know her. I threw my hands up and headed to the living room. Maxie had just walked in and I motioned her over. "Hey can I ask you something?" "Sure B, what's up big guy?" She said and took a seat on the couch. "Why does Blake keep running from me? Literally, running? I'm just trying to get to know her. I feel like I've been half in love with the girl for as long as I can remember. From everything y'all have told me, I feel like I know her already. What am I doing wrong? Should I just back off and let it go?" I asked confused. Maxie shook her head no. "Don't back off. She bolts because she thinks your just being nice. It's mutual B. We've always talked about you to her too, minus who you really are obviously. So she feels the same way. She's been a huge fan of yours for years. Not creepy stalker type. But she's crazy about you, and probably embarrassed about fangirling in front of you. Don't let her push you away, when she bolts, chase her. When she runs, follow her. When she closes up, make her open up again." She said. I frowned. "I don't want to come off as some caveman asshole." I grumbled. "You are a caveman. Not an asshole, but definitely a caveman. And you might be surprised at her reaction. Personally, I think a little of your rougher side might be just what the dr ordered." Maxie chuckled. I tasked an eyebrow. "Did you not see how she behaved and sat still earlier when you told her to settle?" She said. "Well yeah, but that's because she wants to go riding tomorrow." I explained. Maxie shook her head. "No, it's because it's you." She said then walked off. Hmm.. I'd have to keep that in mind.
