Shimmering stars, clear dark night sky, the moon glistening on the dark blue sea, quietness, all forms of life sleeping, birds chirping wistfully.

Guards were sleeping at the gate of Capricon's castle. Dustfinger was waiting for any knock on the door that will help fly away somewhere.  He was tired waiting for such a long time, 'Why not have a look at the starry night' he thought. As he was glancing at the outside world shining by the moon light over the Capricon's village he saw a shadow waving at him down through window from the backyard. It was Lisa, he knew. There was the tall Resa standing by her side waiting for the Dustfiger.

He hesitated making decision to whether climb down from there or have a peek if the guard out of him room was sleeping. He knew Gwin would be jolly on the spot to climb down. But he waited and took the lesser patient-risk of climbing down from there.

Got up on the ledge of the window, He could see a pipe right beside him. He tried to hold a grip on it. Gwin was looking at his master knowing that he will be going down. So the marten did so, jumped directly through ledge to another window and direct down.

Dustfinger was still on the pipe with his feet on hinges that were supporting him. He was trying to find some other hinges so he could climb down. But his feet slipped and down he crashed on the grass. His face became red with pain, but he did not want to scream as it would wake up the dosed off guards that were supposed to stroll.

Lisa was laughing at his stupidity; Resa smiling. Gwin jumped onto his shoulder again as he stood up looking at both the ladies with a smile on his face.

"I'll follow you I suppose, Lisa." Groaned Dustfinger. "Oh, Yes. We shan't lose any time now, Let's hurry up." Lisa began walking towards the shadows apart from the Backyard.

She knew the Castle well. They were into another big yard again. It was a stable; horses were sleeping; and so did the sheep and pigs. Every living organism was fainted to sleep and they crept through the stables to escape through the hill.
They reached the hill, it was a sloppy hill with grassy patches all over it. "Why didn't stupid Basta appointed any guards at this point, huh?" Dustfinger inquired.

"Yes, Capricorn has the idea that this land is barren. The Basta wouldn't come here because of his superstitions. He still believes the story about the dead witch who ate children and made soup with their eye balls. Ha! I told him that story. What a stupid fellow. To be honest, he reeks. I don't like him a bit!" said Lisa. It was hard for her to make way from the thick bushes.

"Likewise" said Dustfinger

Resa kept thinking about out poor cruel Basta; he is a strong man but not a strong minded man. But they all knew the fact that how Basta and Capricon would get angry by the morning when they get to know what they're missing.

It was a long shady starry night with them running through the slopes. The hill was really big and the way was so steep that they sometimes thought their feet almost lost the grip on the land.

They finally got to the top of the hill and looked at Capricon's village saying the last good bye with a sigh of relief that they will never see it again. They were so tired that they were about to fall in pieces. Dustfinger saw a house. "So eh, that's the witch's house I guess; Basta's scared off this? I guess we can stay there until morning and then run away towards the other village."

Everyone nodded with a relief that they were now ought to have a warm rest in this cold night. The house was behind a big old tree which made it almost invisible from far places. Dustfinger lit fire on the woods so they could warm their hands and then back to the sleep. Dustfinger sat beside the fire looking at his old friend fire and the Gwin went to the house by the ladies to have a sleep with them. He really liked both of them.

Dustfinger couldn't sleep. He was a normal person till he was in the Capricon's castle and was running away now. He sat beside fire guarding the women to sleep and get away from the witch's house as early as they could in the morning. He kept thinking about Resa and her family. If she was telling the truth and what they'd be doing to find a reader to get back the poor lady back to the world she belongs. His heart was melting like the wood in the fire beside him.
He was now tensed about the poor young lady and was scared of Basta on the other hand. He felt like they were coming looking for them right now. Fear was shivering all over his body. The moon was hidden in the clouds so far and Dustfinger caught his eyes to sleep beside the fire...
