4 DAYS UNTIL AGE 16

I woke up to Alex tearing up.

"Why are you crying?"

"I was just thinking Bailey. Calm down." he said as I thought for a moment and then said in a whisper- - "I'm having the dreams again Alex. Did you have the dreams?" 

   I looked at him like he knew what I was talking about.

"Yes." he said "Of the man?" I saw the regret in his face but thought nothing of it

"Oh so it's all going to be okay?" I asked, hoping for the 'right' answer.

"Bailey I have something to tell you. You can’t be mad..." He looked at me like I'd hate him.

"W-what is it?" I only stutter like this when I'm nervous.

"I lied to you. I never had those dreams." He closed his eyes as he said it like it burned his throat to say.

"Y-you lied to me Ale-Alex?" tears streamed down my face as I listened to my best friend tell me he lied.

"I'm so sorry Bailey. You know I didn't mean to do this. I love you" He said, which obviously shocked the hell out of me.  I didn't know what to say so I just spit back out- -

"You just lied to me. why should  I believe you Alex?" I knew it wasnt the right thing to say, but I was scared. I'm falling in love with my best friend. 

Then he did it. He changed my opinion of my best friend for forever.  He kissed me.  It lasted for who knows how long then said "Do you believe me now?"

"Y-yes." I'd have never believed him before, but now... I know he cares, I know he loves me. But I'm unsure of my feelings still. Right now that damn question is more important.
