Now you see, there is lying for good - and lying for bad. Unfortunately any lie for any reason turns into a bad lie. Now I'm not saying that lying is wrong, as we are all only human and humans lie. It's what we do. Today there was a girl who said some pretty harsh and generally rude stuff with many witnesses there. We are just going to call her "X". Now later that afternoon I had pointed out over text that what X did was wrong and she had no right to do so. She was threatening to physically hurt others and said many uncalled for rude things. After I said what I believe needed to be said which was that what she was doing is wrong and how she was acting is wrong and all it hurt her. I'm sorry but if you can't take the consequences of what you are acting like then don't act like that. She ended up getting her mother involved. She lied to her mother to make herself seem innocent; her mother believed her. While I was out shopping with my mom we got a call from X's mom yelling at me. I stood up for myself against a full grown woman and a young girl who can't handle her consequences. For which I'm proud of myself. I was not rude; it might have come off that way but was never intended that way. I spoke my mind and said what I wanted to say to both of them. I'm sorry I went off on a small tangent but I feel as though that is a perfect example of good lying turning bad. X purposely lied to her mother to seem like a perfect child, when her mom called me we all four got into a fight (her mother, her, my mother, and I). She thought her lie would make me seem bad and like everything would be okay but in the end it ended bad for everyone in the picture. I guess what I am trying to get at is that lying is human nature - no way around that. But if you're going to lie you have to be able to fully back up your lie and bare the consequences if it doesn't work out. A lie is a lie no matter how big or small it maybe; lying is still lying. The minute you lie to someone. You have broken their trust for you and times more often than not, it's very hard to earn back.
