She was cold.

Annie woke after heavy concussion, near a thick forest. In front of her, a cliff stood, with a sheer drop into the sea that was dazzling in the crysal clear moonlight. Annie was petrified. Where was Luke, how did she get here, and most importantly, WHERE WAS SHE?

Annie vaguely remembered the mirror in the Girls' Visitors Toilets. That must have brought her here. Luke was probably still at the DISC-OH, but she couldn't be sure; who knows how long she had been out cold for?

She noticed the embers of a campfire still faintly glowing with a pair of white rabbit feet next to them.

RABBIT FEET???

"Am I going crazy?" Annie thought out loud.

Her question was partially answered when her eyes followed up the body of this strange creature.

It was half rabbit-half human (or that's what it looked like anyway!). The top half of this body belonged to a beatiful woman. Her skin was perfectly clear, with no marks, spots or blemishes. Her hair was what looked like a rich chestnut brown, and its perfect wavy locks fell to her waist. Rabbit fur covered her bottom half and on her top half she wore an intricately woven bodice. It was golden, with strands of gorgeous threadinvery colour of e rainbow and every colour in between.

Although, some of this bodice was covered by a small bundle wrapped in another intricately wovencloth.

A wolf cry could be heard, and the woman said;

"We've gotta run", and scooped Annie up in her arms and ran. For a creature with such large feet, she ran so swiftly and gracefully, her feet could not be heard over the soft ground. Annie was curious to know what was in the bundle the woman was holding, but the at the speed she was going, her head was pulled next to the woman's shoulder and she couldn't see much. Trees, rocks and all types of scenery whipped past Annie. She had never travelled at this speed before, not even on the fastest theme park ride.

She heard more wolf cries. They seemed to be getting closer and closer, they shook the entire wood. It sent a shiver down Annie's spine. . .

After around fifteen minutes, the rabbit - woman came to a halt a little way from the forest, outside a mound of earth. She said;

"Go on in, don't be afraid Annie,"

"How do y-", Annie was cut off by the woman.

She wished she'd never gone to the stupid DISC-OH and got hreself stuck here with strange creatures.

"Shhhhh, now, Pumpkin, we'll tell you everything you need to know in just a second. Make your way in,"

The woman said

"Hey, Marley, it's Theodora, let us in,"

A gruff voice replied, "C'mon Thee', normal procedures, now." The woman, apparently called Theodora, or Thee' placed her large right foot onto what looked like a patch ofuntouched grass. The grass faded away and revealed a patch ofviolet icewith an ultra-violet scanning light moving horizontally acrossit.

"Ok, c'mon in." Marley said, in his deep voice.

Annie attempted to step past the ice patch that was now re-covered in grass, but a purple barrier appeared and stopped her doing so.

"Hey, Thee', what on Iyo* d'ya think ya doin?" Marley yelled.

"Oh, sorry Marley. This is the girl from Earth I told you about. If ya don't believe me, I'll get Remmy, he'll prove it, and you don't wanna mess with him." Theodora replied, persuasively.

"Ok,Ok, c'mon in then."

"Thanks Marley." Said Theodora. They entered themound of earth and walkeddown a flight of spiral stairs into a large room. The walls were compressed earth, anda hugefire was built into the far wall.

An enormous wooden table stood in the middle of the room with twenty five chairs around it. Theodora waved her hand towards a chair, which Annie assumed meant sit down, so she did. Everyone else sat down, and when they did so, Annie realised they all had different types of animal feet, from rabbits to birds, but no dogs.

"Ok, so, as you probably know already, I'm Theodora, and this is my husband Remmy, who you haven't met", she said, pointing to a handsome rabbit footed man at the head of the table. "And this is our beautiful little baby, Melanie. We call her Mel mostly." She lowered the bundle so that Annie could see. A little white rabbit with big, brown eyes stared back at her own.

"Oh! She's so lovely! But, why the full rabbit body?"

"It goes after a while and will leave her with a mer head like us." Remmy said

"Mer? Like mermaids and mer men? I thought your heads were human!"

"Oh no! Humans cannot cross breed like mer can. Mer have seal or fish tails, but over time they have started breeding with other animals out of water, and we evolved." He said

"Oh.                                                                                                                                                                        But, why am I here, what do you want with me, and why do you have purple scanners, and why are there no dogs in here but we were running from them out there, who are you, what are you doing and WHAT IS THIS PLACE???"

"All will be told in just a moment . . ."
