I wake up to what I think could be a new start or beginning. The birds chirping and all that relaxing and a little boring nature stuff.

Or.......

One very cold night with the moon shining very brightly and many starts that the eye could see. I watch the water dance gracefully and lightly across the lake and the trees dancing to the cold breeze brushing against my face.

That's how most books start their story aside from the 'nature stuff' because they would be more specific. A very well-thought first sentence or paragraph that makes the reader paint a wonderful painting in their head to catch their attention and interest but this story is different. Let's call it a little unique and something that could stand out. Interested? Why don't we begin?

Jack's point of view

Today is the day when I'm moving to Britain. I was excited about it at first but I thought we were just visiting. We ended up moving. I know this seems like a new opportunity or a new start or possibly a chance for a batter life but in order to have a new start or beginning, you have to leave the past and everything that comes along with it. For me, that's extremely hard because my past had been the happiest moments of my life. I didn't know my best friend was always the one for me.

Her name was Laura. She was the best thing that ever happened to me. She broke down when I told her that I was moving. It was painful seeing her hurt and the worst was I was the cause. I was the cause of all the tears running down her face and I was also the cause of her heartbreak. We were inseparable and even if people teased us throughout the years, we wouldn't mind them. We were best friends since birth. Our mothers knew each other and that's how we met. I finally had the guts to ask her out when we were 15. We just had our first anniversary 2 weeks ago and it was one of the best times I had with her.

-Flashback-

It's today. Today is the day when we first started dating except that it was a year ago. I can imagine more anniversaries passing by and soon we will have kids and a family. Call me a freak but I just can't stop thinking about my future with Laura because I feel like she is the 'one'. Everything's going to be perfect and I'm sure of it. I had a fun day for us planned and I hope that she likes it.

I grab my phone out of my pocket and dialed her number. I was jumping in excitement as the phone was ringing. The 5th time the phone rang, she answered."Hey" she said. I can sense her smiling at the other line. "Hey. Happy Anniversary!" I exclaim. "I can't believe that it's been a year." She says as she sighs dreamily. "Me too. So what time should I pick you up?" I ask "Well, I want our fun day to start very early so probably an hour from now." she says. "Alright just wear something casual and comfortable and no heels." I say strictly. "What do you have against heels?" She asks with a hint of playfulness in her voice. "You can't walk with them. They make you very uncomfortable and they make you taller." I explain. "Don't you want me to become taller?" She asks. "No, I love our height difference. When we hug, your head is at my chest so you can hear it beat. You also know that it only beats for you." I say. I know that she is blushing from what I said. "That's so cheesy but romantic." She says. "I have to get ready, see you in an hour." I say. "Bye, I love you." She ended the call before I could say it back. I don't need to say it because she already knows but it's just good to say it.

An hour later.........

I don't look so fancy but I hope this looks good. I run my hand through my hair messing a little bit. I check I have everything like a cell phone and some other stuff. I first go to a flower shop and get some red roses since red is her favorite color and roses is her favorite type of flower. After buying the flowers, I drive to her house. I was extremely nervous. I have knocked on her door before but this is our anniversary which makes this somewhat different. I wipe the sweat off my hands and on my forehead and finally knock on her door. She opens it and my jaw drops. How can a person look so beautiful without even trying?
