School was over and I just wanted to get home before it rains, so I basically ran to my locker and grabbed my books and jogged out of the school. A few people tried to talk to me but I said "Gotta Go." After what seemed like a lifetime, I made it out of their and into the parking lot. My house is only a few blocks away so I usually just walk.
I was just walking home, I had about 2 more blocks until I reached it. But then, I felt a rain drop hit my head, and I panicked, more than I should. Before I could start running, it down poured. The rain was soaking my hair, my clothes, my book bag, almost everything. It wasn't until a minute later that my black wings sprawled out of my back. Just great right?
I groaned and I knew what I had to do, I had to fly home. You probably always wanted to fly right? Well, it isn't as fun as it seems and it is very hard work, I'm not lying either. I looked around to make sure no one was looking, and then I went straight into the air, from where I was you would think I was a vulture of some sort.
But then I felt a pair of eyes on me, even though I was very high up in the sky. I looked down and saw the new kid, his name is Seth right? Well he was looking directly at me, and even from where I can see, he had a smile on his. I don't know if he has a thing for birds or he actually saw me transform. Well I hope he didn't see me. My life could change, and not for the better.
Seths POV.
This school blows, it isn't any different from my old school. Well there isn't a lot of bullying here to me though, so I guess that's good. But I walked into my 1st period class today and I saw this girl in the corner, she seemed pretty cool until I looked at the jocks around her. They were talking to her and she was giggling and then I realized that she is a cheerleader.
I hate cheerleaders.
But she smiled at me, but I didn't return it, no way! But towards the end of class she came up to me asking if I needed help finding my next class. I knew she was probably just pulling a prank or something on me so I denied it. I don't trust cheerleaders from what happened last time. I hate just thinking about it. Imagine being expelled from a school because of something someone did to you? I defended myself but whatever.
All I know was that I wanted to get out of this school already. So after my last class I booked it out of the school and started to walk home. My house is about 5 or 6 blocks away. So I was walking and it started to pour down with rain. "Great" I muttered to myself. But then I looked over and I saw that girl, I hid behind a bush and watched her. Creepy right?
Well she looked around and then I saw wings, actual black wings grow out of her back. This girl had wings? Wut? I watched her fly into the sky with the rain still pouring down. I got out of my hiding spot and I looked up at her. I smiled, maybe she is different. She looked down at me, well i'm not sure if she did or not, it was hard to tell. But I watched her fly until I couldn't see her anymore.
That was amazing, I gotta get to know her better, we could be close friends. We both have something in common...we have a huge secret.
