Ten Reasons Not to Die
By: @ricelover

I read Ten Reasons Not to Die in less than an hour. This book is incredibly short with just 12 chapters, but it's also fitting for the book itself.

The story is about Remy, a teenager girl that tries to kill herself, but is stopped by a boy named Evan. He proposes an offer, that gives him ten days to give her ten reasons to live, or else she can carry on with her suicide. (I won't tell you anymore because ya know you should read it.)

Anyways my I had mixed feeling about this book. It's one of those reads you have to get used to. Because even though its chronological, it's only excerpts of their life's and not a coherent story. It had potential, but I just wanted to see the links between the chapters. I give it merit for being original though. Not often you see that on wattpad. ;) but because of the small-glance-at-life chapters it felt like story developed too quickly, jumping from day to day and throwing information in your face at each chapter. In a way though the story was still underdeveloped from the lack of information handed to you in each chapter, maybe trivial information in some people's mind but information that gave complexity and depth into a character was lacking and the characters (main or not) tended to feel flat.

I don't know, this is just one of those books where you read it and say, "hm that was a good book" but kinda never think of it again. It wasn't one of those books I was dying to tell my friends about. It was just kinda of a book. Nothing special but special at the same time because of its concept. I raise the white flag on this book ⚐ because you guys are probably just as confused as I feel about this book.
