~~~~~*Girl's Pov*~~~~~
The next morning, she woke up, looking around to see that she was the only one in the lab. Wondering where Medic and Scout were, she hopped off of the cot, shivering at the cold floor and grabbing her plushie and heading to the door, opening it a crack. She looked back and forth, checking if anyone was there. Seeing no one, she snuck out of the room, trying to be as quiet as possible. As she checked in the rooms, the only person she found was a weird guy with an eyepatch passed out on the floor. Her stomach growled loudly, making her blush a bit, as she now searched for the kitchen. After what seemed like hours, she made it into a room with a fridge, stove and oven, a microwave and coffee pot, and a big table with 9 seats. Figuring this to be the kitchen, she went over to the fridge, standing up on her toes and managing to get the door open. She poked around in there, only seeing bottles of who-knows-what, a couple jars of yellow liquid, some cans of soda, and...a-ha! A sandwich! Unfortunately it was on the top shelf, more towards the back. Standing on her toes, she reached back, trying to get the breaded holy grail of food. Failing to notice the footsteps behind her, she yelped in shock when two large hands easily picked her up.
"Hey! What is leetle girl doing stealing Heavy's sandvich?!" She kicked and flailed her legs and arms, squinting her eyes closed in fear, trying to get the man to put her down. A deep voice laughed loudly, turning her around. "Silly girl! You can't hurt Heavy! But don't worry. I'm not going to hurt you. Heavy does not hit leetle kids."
She calmed down a bit, ceasing her "attack" on her captor. She opened her eyes to see a very large man, bald with a bit of facial hair. The only thing stopping him from being terrifying and intimidating was the large smile he was giving her. "So, you are girl Doktor and Scout brought in?" She nodded slightly, about to say 'yes' when her stomach decided to speak for her, growling loudly. She blushed furiously, the red on her cheeks spreading when Heavy laughed again, setting her on one of the chairs, then gave her a vaguely serious face. "Remember, sandvich is Heavy's, but I let it slide this time." He reached into the fridge, pulling out the sandwich, set it down, then pulled out bread, lunch meat, and other things needed to make a sandwich. She turned to watch him, hearing him hum a tune she didn't recognize.
A few moments later, he set a plate with her own sandwich in front of her with a proud 'ta-da!'. She smiled up at him, thanking him before eagerly scarfing down the food. Once she was done, she looked over at heavy, who was looking at her head confusedly. "How does leetle girl have bruse on head?" She reached up to her forehead, feeling there and wincing slightly. "I don't know. I think I hit my head there pretty hard. I don't remember how though..." She frowns, looking down. "Do not worry. I am sure you will remember soon enough. Trust Heavy on that." She returned the smile he gave her, hopping off the seat and picking up her plushie. "Thanks, Heavy! I'm gonna go find Josef and Billy." Heavy looked at her with a suprised and amused face. "Well, if Doktor and leetle man tell you their names, then you may call Heavy Misha." She nodded at him, then waved at him as she left, before stopping before she left the room, looking back at Heavy. "Oh! My name's Rachael!" As she skipped off, she thought she heard Misha chuckle.
She hummed a happy tune, skipping down the halls, feeling particularly happy after meeting Heavy. Although, her focus seemed to be off today, as she ran into someone's leg, letting out an "Oof!" before landing on her butt. She looked up to see a man in goggles and a hard hat, looking down at her, suprised, then smiles amusedly at her.
"Sorry 'bout that, little lady. Ah wasn't payin attention." He said in a southern accent. She got up, shaking her head and smiling up at him, "It's okay. I wasn't either." He chuckled. "Ah could tell. Where were ya goin?" "I was looking for Medic and Billy, but I got hungry and went to the kitchen and met Misha and he gave me a sandwich. I left after I was done to look for them again, then I ran into you. Can you help me find them?" He stroked his chin, thinking. "Well, Ah know the Doc went out to get some stuff earlier, but Ah think Ah know where Scout is. Want me to take ya to him?" She grinned and nodded rapidly, making him chuckle. He reached down and picked her up, her looking suprised, but not complaining. After a few minutes of walking, she looked at him, "I'm Rachael, what's your name?" "Ah'm the Engineer, but you can call me Engi." He smiled at her as he brought her outside, looking out to see Scout hitting dummies with his bat.
