Promises

A few weeks later..

"Billie, that's the third time this morning that you've gone to the bathroom. Are you okay? Do you need to go to the hospital?" Kat asked as I came out of the bathroom.
"No, I'm fine. It's nothing. You don't need to wor-" I said before rushing to the bathroom again.
"Okay, that's it. We're going to the hospital." Dan said before calling a cab.
We made to the hospital and as I was sitting in the waiting room the nurse gave me the form. I filled it out and gave it to the nurse. They let me go in to a room and wait in there for the doctor. They didn't let me bring Kat and Dan with me. I was so nervous. I didn't want them to find out yet. I'm not ready. What if they don't accept it. What if Dan breaks up with me because of this. The doctor walked in.

Dans POV

Kat and I waited for Billie for around half an hour until they said that we could go see her. She was crying and had her hands on her tummy. I knew what the doctor said within that moment. So I just hugged her right away and started singing: "my only sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when the skies are grey, you'll never know dear, how much I love you, please don't take my sunshine away."
There was a bit of quiet after I finished. The only sound was Billies muffled sobs.
"I'm so sorry, i-I'm sorry, it was an accident. I wish that you didn't have to get involved with this. I love you so much.. " she stopped to breathe. "And that's why you have to leave me. "
Was she seriously asking me to leave her?
"Please just go on live out all your dreams, I don't want to drag you down." Billie said pushing me away.
"No, I will never leave you! I promised you that I will always be by your side through anything because I love you. And don't care what people say I am not going to run away from this. "
She needs me, more than ever.
"I am a not coward, I might be the biggest dork but I am not a coward! I will not lose another person I love. I love you. I will never leave you... especially now when you need me the most." I said holding her tight as if she was going to disappear if I let her go.
"But Dan, I'm pregnant and you don't have to stay because it's not.. it's not yours." She said with tears streaming down her face.
"Well duh, I know that it's not mine. Remember we haven't.. you know. "I said trying to make her smile.
"Danny bear, don't even joke about this."
"What I'm trying to say is that I don't care if the baby is not mine. I will treat her as my own. And I will love her just like as much as I love you and that's a promise." I said to her while holding her hands and kissed them over and over again.
"Wait, her. You thinks it's a girl." She said wiping her tears.
"Well, yeah sorta. I feel like it's a girl. I really hope it's a girl." I said trying to make her smile.
"You're such a dork." She said with a smile.
"Now come on, let's go home, okay?" I said as we walked out the doctors office.
