Hey everyone this is my first book I have written on watt pad, I hope you enjoy it ^^

***********************************************************************************************************************************************

In the end it didn't matter, I was in trouble, big trouble. This was my tenth attempt of trying to get out of here. My parents looked the maddest they had ever been, their disappointed eyes burned into the back of my body, as I walked into my room and locked the door.

I have learned to become immune to that stare, but I still feel ashamed deep inside. I stared at myself in the mirror thinking what went wrong? I noticed that I still had my hand made gown on. I looked, at the bottom of the dress. It was ripped and muddy, because I had tried climbing over the wall via a very tall tree with strong branches, at the end of the garden, but instead of getting over I just lost a shoe, fell into a muddy puddle and made my parents ashamed of me.

It's not my fault that they put up that large wall, it was stupid and I hated it so much. I just want to knock it down and finally see the world around me. It was unfair!! What were they trying to accomplish, making their only daughter clueless on how to survive in the outside world, not being a princess, with no money and no rich husband to look after me. I walked into the bathroom to have a nice hot shower, which I really needed to calm my nerves and my aching body.

***

I was done in the shower, I got dressed for dinner. I wore a baby blue flowing dress, with big straps that hugged the side of my shoulders, but just for the occasion I wore some light pink lipgloss over my full lips. I left my long, dark brown curly hair to flow over my shoulders and down my back. My hair really complemented my brown eyes, my mother said it made me look exotic. Like I came from a country like Greece or Italy.

I  kinda of look like my mother, she has straight brown hair that was always cut short and pinned back off her face, into an attempted bun, she also has dark brown eyes like mine and thin lips with dark purple lipstick coating them. My father on the other hand, I don't look like, he has blonde curly hair, blue eyes, with full lips and a handsome physique. My father always wore this one golden ring that has an engraved picture of the beach. He said that when I am older and if I could fit into it he would give it to me.

I quietly tiptoed down the corridor, trying to surprise my mum and dad, because I rarely ate dinner with them, I just eat dinner in my room. Once I got to the dining room hall I felt this large heavy hand on my shoulder and a loud booming voice said

"hello my little escape artist, so you have finally decided to join us for dinner, trying to us to forgive you, aye?."

I jumped in the air, my father came out of nowhere and scared me. I calmed down and managed to look up into his blue eyes.

" yes father, you looked right through my plan of getting your forgiveness, well do you forgive me?" I pouted.

He thought for a while and said quietly " yes, I can never be mad at my black beauty but don't tell you mother she is furious with you"

I went to say something else until I felt a awkward feeling like someone was watching, I turned around and saw my mother standing there, behind us, giving me a death stare.

" hello mother how are you this fine evening?". I waited for her to answer, nothing came out of her mouth, nothing but air, like she wanted to say something but she didn't.

This is going to be a long and awkward dinner, I thought to myself and gave dad a weird look. He just looked back at me and puffed his cheeks then pulled his ears out, he looked like a monkey, a weird hairless monkey with bleached hair. I giggled to myself and walked to the dinner table.

***

After dinner went back to my room to relax. I felt this nice cool breeze brush against my arm, I turned my head and saw the balcony door was open. As I went to close the door, I though to myself it's such a beautiful night.  Before I closed the door I grabbed my shawl and left my room making my way Ito the garden.

The garden was so beautiful this time of night because some of the flowers have bloomed and the light from the little lanterns complemented the garden so well. I stared at My favorite tree, it was a plum tree that always had the best plums. They where sweet and  juicy, they had the nicest colour. I even got a skirt specially made in that exact shade.

Just then I noticed something behind the tree. It look a bit like a door, I went to inspect it closer and it was! I was so happy, I finally found a way out of this castle!! I went to open the door but the knob wouldn't turn. I gazed at the door for a moment a saw a lock, but this lock didn't need a key to open but a stone or some sort of locket.

" sarahphina" a voice called.

I know it was my mother calling my name so I quickly got up and ran inside, while dusting the dirt off my dress.

"yes mother what do you need" I said in the most politest way I could.

" I want to say that what you did was very wrong and I want a full apology to me and your father written out and you will read it to us at breakfast!" said my mother in a annoyed voice.

" yes mother do you want the apology 100 words or less" I said grinning, but she just walked off without a reply.

I spent 30 minutes on the apology but before I could go back to the door behind the tree, slumber took over me and I fell into a deep sleep. That night I had the strangest dream.

I was in the garden and that strange door, the one behind the plum tree. It was glowing and a gloomy voice was calling my name,

" sarahphina, sarahphina, sarahphina".

I walked to the door then I felt something in my hand, I stretched open my fingers and saw a necklace. The necklace had thick black thread with a pink stone dangling off it. The stone had an engraved letter in the middle. The letter was a P.

I held the stone in my hand as I examined  the lock, I noticed that the lock had a 9 enraged in it, but this nine closely resembled a backwards P. It took me a moment to process, until I finally realised.

The stone is the key!! I pressed the stone on the lock, it fit. Shockingly the stone lit up and I heard a click. I hesitantly grabbed the knob and turn it. The door swung open but before I could see anything I woke up......
