This is my first time writing a fan fiction, so I'm sorry if it's not that great.

Chapter 1:
There I was, at the beach with my best friend Melena. We've been best friends since we were in third grade. When we turned 15, we decided to take surfing lessons, and now we're pretty good at it. All of our friends are convinced that we're mermaids, because we spend more time wet than we do dry. From the moment I caught my first wave, I knew I wanted to become a pro surfer.
We've been on the beach for 6 hours, so we decided to leave. We got out of the water and went to my van. We hopped in the van and headed to our homes. After taking Melena to her house, I headed to mine. I got home, opened the door and went to the kitchen because I was hungry, so I made a salad. While I was eating, I was thinking that tomorrow, Melena & I could go to Huntington beach at 6:00 in the morning, so I called her.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Melena? I was thinking that tomorrow we could go to Huntington beach at 6:00 in the morning."
"Umm.. I can't go, I'm going to visit my grandparents." She said a little disappointed.
"Oh.. Don't worry, one day we'll go together." I said trying to make her feel better.
"Alright, see you on Monday."
"Okay, bye"
I hung up the call and decided to take a shower. I headed to the bathroom upstairs. I peeled off my clothes and threw them in the washing basket. The hot water in my skin felt so good. I got out of the bathroom wrapped in a towel and then I put on my pyjamas. Then I took my phone and went on Tumblr to reblog and like some stuff. But before I could go to sleep, I set the alarm for tomorrow. "Tomorrow's gonna be a long day." I said to myself.
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!
I reached my hand over to my phone and tapped the snooze button. I got up and went to the bathroom to take quick shower and to brush my teeth. After that, I put on my bikini, some shorts and a loose crop top. Then I went to the kitchen to eat something for breakfast. After I finished eating, I made sure everything was ready so I could go. That's when I felt my phone vibrate, it was a message from Melena. It said "Hope you have fun today! c: x", I just smiled. I hopped on my van and headed to Huntington beach.
Huntington beach is like 30-35 minutes away from where I live, so it wasn't that far.
* 32 minutes later *
I finally arrived. It's one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. I stood there looking at the view for a couple of minutes. There weren't so many people at the beach, only like 15 people or so. I hopped off my van, took my surfboard and headed to the water.
When I looked to my right, I saw this blonde guy surfing. I wanted to get his attention so, I saw this wave in the distance and headed towards it. Then I started to ride the wave and started to make turns and maneuvers. I think I caught his attention because when I turned to see him, he was looking at me. Then I stood there waiting for another wave.
I felt someone's hand on my shoulder. That's when I turned to see who it was. And guess who? It was him, the blonde guy. "Dang, he's cute!" I said to myself. His eyes are aqua with a little bit of hazel. I think that I've been looking into his eyes for minutes because I heard him chuckle. I felt my cheeks blush.
"Hi, I'm Cody." He said smiling at me.
