The sun shone down on my face splashing me with happiness and optimism as I shoved my earphones into my ears. I tap Shuffle play on Spotify and 'Ghost Town' by Adam Lambert. I softly sing-along...

" Died last night in my dreams
Walking the streets
Of some old ghost town
I tried to believe
In God and James Dean
But Hollywood sold out"
Just as I finish the first bit of it a hand suddenly snatched one of my earphones out of my ear and plugged it into theirs own. I frown angrily look up at the owner of the hand and immediately my frown was replaced by a cheerful smile as Adam, my best-friend, walked alongside me singing along . I join in just as the song was finishing.

"My heart is a ghost town
Oh, my heart is a ghost town
(Said, my heart)
My heart is a ghost town
My heart is a ghost town".

Just then an enormous building with silver plated letters spelling Riverville High. I take the earphones out and shove them into my bag including my phone. "Guess what" Adam says smirking, "What?" I say throwing him a exasperated look you'd probably give to a five we old. look. "I made 'Ghost Town'", "Like the song?" I ask "yeah" he says holding up his phone to reveal the name Adam Lambert. "See Ad-um" he says pointing to each word as if I were a preschooler. I roll my eyes "Yeah, but it's Andm Lambert not Adam Lambskin" I grinning. "But there really close Lambskin, Lambert" he cries, his expression filled with seriousness. "No there not they don't even rhyme" I laugh as we walk over to my locker. Adams face jokingly crumples "Your just jealous" he pouts. I laugh. "Cya" we say as I go to my music session and he goes to English.
