'Please get me a cat.' Was all your son, Hercules, had been saying for the past two weeks.
<FLASHBACK>
*Your POV*
Me and Hercules were walking around downtown an we passed a pet store. He looked mesmerized as he saw the kittens play in the window. "Mommy, can I get a kitten?" He asked. l was about to say yes, but then reality stepped in.
He would have to feed it, play with it, and clean out its litter box. "No, sweetie. Maybe when your older." You said. He looked disappointed but understood why you said no.
*Back to present*
"Mom, can I please get a cat?" Hercules asked. This was the fifth time today, and it was only 9 o'clock in the morning. "Ugh, fine. Go get your shoes on. I'll go get you a kitten." You said. His eyes shined with happiness and he raced up the stairs...nearly tripping.

Greece ended up getting a black kitten he named Narcissus. On the way home, you looked in the rearview mirror, and saw Hercules asleep, cuddling his kitten.
<4 months later>
You were asleep, having a peaceful dream. That all ended when someone was shaking you awake."Momma, Momma wake up." Hercules pleaded. You sat up and rubbed your eyes." What is it, sweetie?" You asked him.
"Momma, I don't think Narcissus is a boy." Hercules said innocently. You're eyes widened. You took Hercules's hand and walked into the living room, where Narcissus laid. Around him, or HER, were five kittens.
'Oh God, I'm becoming a crazy cat lady.' You thought.
