\Dan's POV/
"You did what??" I asked as I walked behind Phil questioning his sanity. "I replied to the email about a week ago, Dan, I didn't think it would be a big deal!" He said to me in reply. In case you haven't figured it out, Phil has confirmed an email saying we would take in a teenager to live with us for two months and we would teach them about YouTube, radio, and everything about what we do for a living. This drove me insane! I sat down at the dining table with Phil, took a drink of my tea (I know, very British of me) and could only think of all the things that could go horribly wrong.
"Phil, we can't just take some random stranger into our house! We don't know who they are or what they're capable of..." I tried saying in defense but Phil put his hand on my shoulder and looked me in the eyes,
"Dan, it's just a teenager. I'm pretty sure they won't be a murderer," he says and stands up, walking back to his room. I sighed and rolled my eyes, and walked back to my room as well. Out of all the crazy things Phil has done, this might be the craziest. We can barely take care of Dil Howlter, a character in a video game, how the bloody hell do we take care of an actual human being for two months? I sat down on my bed and grabbed my phone, tweeting out my feelings. Even though, I know that a giant shitstorm will happen if I do.
"Big things are happening... oh shit."
I lay down and decided to take a nap before dinner, considering Phil will probably order us pizza. I don't complain. I shut my eyes but before I could fall asleep, Phil walks in and exclaims, "Dan, you should check your email in a few hours." I sat up in the bed and raised my eyebrows, "Why?"
"Because there will be an email from the school saying who the little lad, or girl, will be who comes here. It will also have all the travel information on it so we know when they'll be here and such, okay?" he asked with a concerned tone. I nodded, "Okay." I went back to my nap after Phil left and I woke up to Phil texting me that pizza was here.
I went to the dining room and grabbed some pizza and then went on the Internet on my spot of the couch where I usually lay. I checked my email and I had more information on this random person coming to stay with us.
The email read,
"Dear Dan and/or Phil,
Thank you for working with us in the exchange program. Why do we call this the exchange program? We exchange the student to live with you guys for two months and they get an education in return. We have organized flight travels that are listed below and dates for when the program begins. Your student's information is listed below as well. Once again, thank you for participating!"
I say the information in a whisper tone to myself as I read the following,
"Student - Stella Myers, 14 years old, Female"
So Phil was wrong on the "lad" part. I read through the travel times and told Phil about them and he handled emailing them back. It occurred to me that we have to deal with a teenage girl now. What the fuck? I mean, I'm not sexist or anything but I feel like I could handle a teenage boy better than a teenage girl. Let's just hope for the best.
\Stella's POV/
I looked on my phone and found one of my favorite YouTubers has tweeted. I smiled when I saw it was Dan Howell. He is a British YouTuber who is known mainly for having an existential crisis and being very articulate. He said big things are happening. I rolled my eyes and shook my head thinking,
"If it's about Phan, trust me Dan, we already know it's real!"
I quickly saw that Phil tweeted right after Dan did,
"Can't wait to meet the young one who gets to spend time with us for 2 months! It's going to be amazing!!! #Punnotintended"
