(Y/N pov)

It had been two years since the 'incident' in the woods and I had yet another nightmare about it and I woke up and was gripping onto the page that I ripped off of the tree on that Fall night, I remember it like it was a recent event like a wedding or birth or something of that importance.

My cat jumped on my stomach and cocked his head to the side making a single purr sound.

"I'm fine, don't worry." I said to my cat as I jingled the bell on his/her collar.

I recalled the dream some, thinking I saw something green in the dream. It wasn't the trees or plants because they all had either changed colors or died, so it was something unknown to me.

I looked at the picture and just started contemplating the events of that evening.

I decided that it was time that I was old enough to face my fears because it is also the only thing on my one track mind, I went back to the place where all of this began...by all of this I mean I've heard the occasional tap on my window or creaking floor and I have occasionally seen a flash of green but I just blow it off and say it's my imagination...but a gut feeling tells me otherwise...I'm going back into that forest...

I walk outside and inhaled a sharp breath of the crisp summer evening air. I started walking with my eyes closed and my arms held out because I had no clue where it was and that maybe something or someone could guide me...even if it was just my natural instincts...but I was making sure that I didn't run into anything but...I accidentally hit a tree after what seems like forever and I didn't open my eyes, fearing that if I opened them I would never be able to find it.

There was something on the tree so I ran my fingers over the surface of the bark and it was something etched in the tree. I got excited and opened my eyes to look at those same words that I saw two years ago, 'you shouldn't have done that'.

I stepped back a foot or two when something or should I say someone, turned from behind the tree to inches in front of me.

"You've met with a terrible fate haven't you?" I hear the person standing before me say.

"It seems like I have, terrible fate." I say sarcastically trying to hide the fact that I am very scared.

"Oh please, call me BEN." He said with a slight smirk on his face.

"They call me (Y/N)" I say playing along with whatever sick joke this is.

It took me until now to realize that this is the boy from the picture...he started to say something that I couldn't quite make out and I threw myself onto him and hugged him and he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Your that boy from the picture I found in the forest two years ago...I still have the picture and-" I cut my self off by starting to sob. "Your the only reason I-I didn't...it doesn't matter but you are the only thing that k-kept me g-going."

"U-uh I uhm...I don't know what to say..." He said awkwardly.

"Oh um...sorry." I say and pull away.

"NO!" He yelled and pulled me into his chest, causing us both to fall to the ground.

I was laying on top of him and he was sprawled out under me, with his arms still around me. I adjusted my body so I was more comfortable and we just layed there until Jeff pops out from behind a tree and yells "HA, FOUND YOU."
