Morishige's POV

The longer Mayu laid there the longer I couldn't believe what happened. Her pale soft skin, now slashed with thw words "Don't look" and her soft eyes shut forever. It was over now... She was gone.

I fell on my knees trembling, not sure what to do. My emotions flooded over me and I couldn't hold back, they hit me all at once. This pain, this feeling... I've never felt anything like it before. I hated myself for letting this happen, It was my fault after all, wasn't it?

I looked at her, then clenched my fists. "Dammit! This is a-all my fault!" He cried out, tears streaming down his face like an endless river, drowning all sound out from around him. Nothing mattered anymore. His Mayu was gone. He started imagining their past. He missed they way she'd smile and laugh, he just wanted desperately to hug her and tell her it would be ok. But he couldn't ever do that again.

He picked up her limp body, hugging her close to him as the tears still flowed. He wasn't going to leave her here, no matter her state. He dragged on down the hallway, not paying attention to anything. "Ma-Mayu..." He kept mumbling over and over again, "Mayu.... Mayu... Mayu...." He couldn't get the name out of his head. It would never leave. He couldn't live with himself if she was dead. But no matter how much he wanted it, he couldn't bring her back to life. "I'm... I-I'm... I'm so sorry Mayu..." He dropped on his knees and cried over her body, not noticing the words slowly disappearing off her skin.
