Jake's eyes widened. He hadn't expected for the Dark Master to be here. As a matter of fact, that very notion had calmed him. That was, until the Dark Master appeared.

The cruel man laughed at the look in Jake's eyes. "What? Not prepared?"

Emma stepped beside him, her fighting stance ready. She narrowed her eyes and glared at the Dark Master, a piercing glare that Jake was very glad not to be receiving. "The question is: Are you prepared? Because we are going to crush you like a little-"

Jake held her arms back, restraining her from attacking the Master. They needed to do this skillfully and calmly, not blinded by rage.

The Master laughed again, and drew his weapon, a sign of the battle beginning. Jake took a deep breath. He fingered the jar safely zipped in his pocket and drew his knife. A close battle like this wouldn't require throwing stars.

Rather than attacking, the Dark Master simply began taunting both teens. Finally, Jake had enough. "You can't bait me," he simply stated. "So fight me like a man, or don't fight me at all."

The Dark Master raised his eyebrows. "Oh?" With the skill of over a hundred years of training, he swung his sword towards Jake. With difficulty, Jake parried the attack. If his fight with Emma was hard, this was impossible. But Jake had never been one to give up. He followed up with a stab at the Master's chest and sent a look to Emma. With a flawless backflip, she landed behind the Master and kicked him, hard, in the back. Not expecting the attack, the man collapsed on the ground.

But it wasn't that easy. This man was determined to push Peter's body to its limits. He rolled over and jumped back on his feet, not even needing to use his arms. But what he hadn't noticed was that his back was against a cliff. He was cornered.

"I don't need this body," he taunted. "I can easily jump off this cliff and travel to another. And it's a two-for-one deal!" He turned to Jake. "You lose your brother too!"

Jake didn't doubt it for a moment. This was the Dark Master. He was cruel and vicious and had been tormenting the Ninjas and Warriors for centuries. One body meant nothing to him.

That's why, when the Dark Master jumped off the cliff, Jake followed.
