Tainted meat

I can't see,
I'm blinded,
Like a wounded gazelle,
Stumbling in the field,
Lost without a sense of direction,
Just waiting for the lion to snap,

And when he does,
It's an iridescent pain,
That grows and blossoms throughout,
Taking over my body slowly but surely,
And I let it consume me until I can't no more,
Then, with direct precision,
I find courage to utter a few last words,
"I'm tainted meat."
