Vienna's P.O.V.
"Okay! Easy on the blush. I don't wanna scare him away. Not that I care." M says. We were helping Mal get ready for her date. Evie was doing the makeup. While I picked the outfit.
"Please." I scoff.
"My mom taught me how to apply blush before I could talk. Always use upward strokes." Evie says as she finishes the blush and starts on the lips.
"My mom was never big on beauty tips. I never had sisters."
"Well now you do." Evie says.
"Which is good because if we can't pull this off. We're all gonna need family that we can." I say.
"Yeah. My mom's not a barrel of laughs when she doesn't get her way. Just ask Snow White."
"Are you afraid of her?"
"Sometimes. What about you two?"
"I just want her to be proud of me. She gets so angry when I disappoint her. And ch-yeah, she's my mom, so I know she loves me... In her own way."
"At times I'm afraid. She just makes me scared of anyone new. She put me into the habit of feeling guilty. She always puts me down. But I know she loves me. Even though she never told me that. She loves me in her own wicked way and I get it." Mal rubs my arm.
"We're always going to be here if you need us. Vi." Evie says. I nod. Mal goes over to the mirror and looks at herself and laughed a little. Evie and I walk up behind her."
"So?"
"I look...."
"Say it." I say.
"You know you want to." Evie says.
"Not hideous." She breathes out.
"Not." Me.
"Even." Evie
"Close." We said together. We heard a knock at the door. Mal goes over and opens it. Ben stood there looking with two helmets in his hand. Looking starstruck.
"For the first time I see the difference between pretty and beautiful." He says making Mal laugh a little.
"I hope you like bikes " He says holding up a helmet. She took it and walked out. She gives us a look. Evie walked over to close the door. She turned toward me. A huge smile on both of our faces. We grab eachothers hand and jumped up and down squealing. We sit down on her bed.
"Tell me about Evan." Evie says.
"Evie he is so adorable. I just hope he likes me the way I am." I rant. She puts her hand on my shoulder.
"Vi go talk to him." She says. I nod. I grab my bag and stand up.
"Good luck." E says.
"Thanks." I say walking out the door. I walk to Evan's dorm room, he shared with Chad. Great. I stand next to the door debating wether I should knock or not. Jane and a girl who looked younger than me passes me. The girl looks my way but quickly looks away. She looked halfly like me. And my mother. I walk to my dorm. I kick off my shoes and lay on my bed. My mom wouldn't lie to me. She told me I didn't have a younger sister.
"Vienna?" A voice outside my door says. It sounds soft and caring. Evan. I guess I didn't know I was crying. I wipe my tears.
"Come in." I say in the most cheerful voice I could. He opens the door.
"Are you okay?" He asks me.
"I'm fine." I lie.
"Vi." He says.
"Fine. It's just. I like you Evan. And I was wondering if you like me too. But that would be crazy, who would love m-" He cuts me off by kissing me. Once he pulls away. He says.
"Does that answer your question?" He asks. I nod.
"See you later." He says and kisses me one last time. He walks out of my room. Best. Day. Ever.
