Gracie's POV
I don't feel that school is an occasion. If I don't need to dress up to impress someone, believe me I won't. And lucky me, I don't have anyone to impress but Uri thinks the exact opposite. Uri's smile is basic proof that I won't like what she has in the bag.
"Please don't tell me that is what I think it is," I say, eyeing the bag as if it contains some explosive advice that could blow my house to pieces in a minority of seconds.
Uri rolls her eyes, pushing past me and strutting into my kitchen. "What do you think of floral?" She laughs, digging a floral crop top out of the bag. She tosses it to me and I pinch it between my thumb and forefinger.
"I think," I wrinkle my nose, "that you have officially lost your mind. What the hell is this for?" Uri turns a deaf ear to my complaint and pulls out a pair of white shorts.
"Isn't this cute?" She gushes, holding it to her waist. She sighs, placing it on the arm of the loveseat. "It's too bad I didn't buy these for myself. Oh, we could've even been twins!"
"Uri!" I yell, finally catching her attention. "Now way in hell."
"Why not?" She whines at the look on my face.
"What if I wanted to change the old you. It's not that you're bad the way you are now!" She rushes to explain at my raised brow. "But..."
"Go on," I urge. "Say it."
"ImissGrace!" She yells in a language that doesn't appear to be English.
"What?" I ask, taken back by the avalanche of words that just flew at me.
"I miss Grace," she elucidates. I frown at the response; she was the one that gave the new rebellious side of me, Grace because Aaron made her, molded her and Uri felt like she needed a new name.
I placed what I hoped was a comforting hand on her shoulder. "I miss Grace too but don't you think that this is jumping too far into the deep end?"
She giggles a little at my statement. "I find it ironic how you miss yourself. Another side of you yes, but still yourself."
I whack her over the head. "Shut up," I declare, dragging my lazy self over to the coffee maker. "You want anything?" I question.
"A cappuccino please," Uri answers, searching through the new clothes for something new to wear. I add a little more chocolate than necessary into my mocha, trying to wake myself up.
"You rocking the homeless look today?" Uri investigates. I shrug my shoulders, handing her the coffee. Considering that Uri bought all those clothes for me, I might as well repay her by wearing something remotely girly. "What do you think of this?" She narrows her eyes at the outfit and I peek over her shoulder. A purple bandana, white t-shirt with the words, 'Don't Like 2 Listen' printed on it and a purple checkered mini-skirt. I tilt my head to side, examining it like Lacey, my cousins' dog would do when she knew that the twins were hiding a treat for her.
"It's cute but there's a lot of purple, don't ya think?" She smiles at that.
"Well, purple is my favorite color." She gestures proudly to her hair.
"Obviously," I muse. Sipping my mocha, my eyes fly from one article of clothing to the other. I separate pieces of different outfits until I make one of my very own.
I spread the arm not holding my mug out, gesturing for Uri to take a look. "Ta-da. A red checkered flannel, a green camo skater skirt and a black knit beanie."
"Good choice," Uri nods approvingly. "Me likie." I blink at her, rolling my eyes.
"That's not a word," I tell her, tossing the shirt over my shoulder and climbed up the stairs. I knock on the slightly ajar door, not daring to peek in after the Luke incident, two weeks ago. I shudder just remembering it. Matt pushed the door open with his foot, a towel wrapped around his waist. A squeal left my lips, slapping my hand over my eyes.
I could practically feel Matt's forest green eyes rolling at the top of my head. "Oh, shut up," he complains. "It's not like you haven't seen me naked before."
I glare at him through my fingers. "I'd like to forget about that if you please," I requested, dropping my hands limply to my side. Matthew inspects my face, not moving out of my way.
"Something wrong?" He ask, leaning against the doorway. My mouth drops and Matt smirks at my face. "You're my little sister, even if you are from another mother. I can always tell when somethings wrong with you. So spill it."
I smile sadly at the thought of my real mother, her beautiful ombre black and brown hair. her brown eyes and the beautiful smile. Shaking my head, I clear my head, tuning back into Matt who was staring at me expectantly. "I need a release," I spoke. He opens his mouth to explain his regulations to me but I cut him off. "Represent and don't be stupid." I recite his rules for me going to parties perfectly.
"There are three parties going on today. Tate Moscow, Michael Ranch and Jayden Europe." I crinkle my nose in disdain at Jayden Europe, recognizing him as the football star quarterback. He was dumb enough when he was sober but when he was drunk, he became a groping machine. Not a very nice person, to say the least.
Tate Moscow was a nice enough guy when he wanted to be. When he didn't, he was a cold hearted bastard that cropped people out of his life just to make them cry. He was a good enough acquaintance to me because I used to tutor him in Science and he always made me laugh but when he was hostile, it was like trying to lick a stone wall and get a vanilla flavor.
Michael Ranch was a sweet guy with sweet intentions, most times at least. A lot more then Jayden and Tate. Michael was a joker who loved to make people laugh until they cried. Especially the boys. He was bi and was proud of it, never denying when wanted either boy or girl. Matthew and him used to be in a relationship before they decided to break it off because they felt like their relationship was built off of unstable friendship. They still hung out and were friends, but not as much as they used to.
And if there was one thing Matt loved about Michael was that he was a hard party animal who knew when things were getting way too out of hand.
"Michael Ranch," I decide with a smile on my face. Matt grins, giving me a thumbs up.
"Good choice," he answers, finally walking away. "By the way, you might want flush the toilet."
"Gross! Matthew!"
So I know it's been like forever but I needed a little break from life. (AKA: I took final, after final, after final.) And guess what? I have another final to take, a 200 hundred point homework assignment to find and a final project that was due last Thursday. Yay, life.
Anyway, more happy thoughts, I literally just stayed up all day watching Law and Order with my mother and eating ice-cream and popcorn. Now, I can get some exercise (AKA: sleeping. LOL, I'm not even kidding.)
See you later!
Bye bye!
