Mia's Apartment
Step Step Step Step
Was the stairs supposed to be this high?
The brunette girl huffed as she wiped the sweats rolling down on her face. She sighed in relief once she finally got into the attic of her apartment. She sat down on the dirty floor and looked around. The attic condition was not that good. You could see dust everywhere, unorganized. And is that a spider?
The girl bent her body over the stair and grabbed the empty boxes she had gathered down there. She pulled it up and smiled in satisfaction as she found it not hard to do. She stood up and walked towards the small windows which were covered with some old curtains. She opened the curtains and squinted her eyes as soon as the bright sun shined through the room. She opened the windows, letting the fresh air filled inside the room. She took a deep breath of that fresh air and looked outside the window.
It was still 6 a.m but there were a lot of people starting their activities already. Mothers were escorting their sons and daughters to school, maids were starting to start their work, handsome guys in suits were waiting for the bus with their cases on their hands, housewives were coming back from the supermarket to prepare for their family's breakfast. It was interesting to watch actually. She would watch more if she had the time but she was in a hurry. She turned back towards her attic and began to clean up.
She started with the books first. She picked up the books, wiping the dust off a bit before putting it into the box. This continued for a few minutes until a familiar book caught her eyes. She tilted her head a bit and stared at the book, trying to figure out what makes the book familiar before she gave up, opting to sit down and opened the book instead. Her eyes widened in realization once she opened the book. She closed the book and wiped the dust on the cover, her fingers tracing on the writings.
Chance High School
2004-2007 Memory Book
Of course. How could she forget about it? She opened the book again. She read through the pages carefully, this time more slowly as the nostalgic feelings came through her heart. She smiled at her friends stupidity, laughing silently at their comments to each other. She traced each page carefully with care, rummaging her brain for certain moments that she almost forget. That was until a picture caught her eye. Her breath caught in her throat as she stared intently at the picture. There in the picture, stood 5 familiar figures, arms around each other. However, her attention laid only on one person. Only on him.
Nice to see your face again, Jason.
