Mia checked her phone and gasped slightly as she found 10 new messages on her phone. She took a quick glance at her lecturer to see if the old woman was paying attention at her before she read the messages.

She giggled lightly at his attempt and sent a quick reply back which states that he should kept his promise once school was over. She received an annoyed message as her reply.

"How cute." She whispered silently to herself.

It was finally lunch time. Mia immediately packed her things and ran to Evan's class.

"Evan! Evan Evan, Evan!" She yelled into his class and received thousands pairs of eyes stared at her, as if trying to eat her soul away.

Woah, thousands of Evan are here, huh. She thought to herself as she let her eyes explored the inside of the classroom. It was not much different than hers though there were surely more nerd students. Before she got to observe more though, she was yanked away and dragged across the hall.

"Hey, let me go! I want to see your class." Mia sulked towards the brunette. Evan paid no mind to her nag though.

She was shoved quite harshly to an empty seat in the cafeteria. Mia pouted slightly as she watched her best friend went in line for their food. It was always like that. Evan would wait in line for their food and all Mia had to do is to keep quiet. She tried to rebel and got her own food once, she got a cold shoulder from him for the whole week. She never figured out why he was being like that though.

Mia watched as her best friend struggled with two trays full of food in his hands. What a fool. She thought as she made her way towards Evan, grabbing one of the trays after she had arrived. Evan threw her a sheepish grin as he nodded in gratitude. They walked back towards their seat but they found new accompanies were sitting there, face void of any emotions.

"Excuse me, this seat is taken" Mia said as she placed her tray on the table. The guy lifted his head up and threw her a challenging stare. Mia could hear Evan gasped slightly as he saw the guy sitting on their table. Evan coughed loudly and shuffled closer to the girl and whispered on her ears.

"Mia, let's just find somewhere else to sit" He said in a hushed voice. Mia stared at him weirdly before shaking her head firmly as her response.

"Yeah, this seat is taken. By me. So why don't you and your little friend over there leave us alone?" The guy said and towered her. Mia raised her chin up to show that she was not afraid and scoffed at his confidence.

"Well, i hope your eyes are still doing well because clearly, there are my stuffs on this table which means that this table is taken, by none other but me!" She said with venom laced in her voice. What the fuck is this guy doing, claiming seats however he want. She was a fucking senior and she wouldn't let anyone claiming her seats however they wanted because she was hungry okay, and disturbing a hungry Mia meant danger.

The guy which she didn't give a shit of his name, just simply smirked and chuckled slightly. He swept his hands across the table , making her things fell into the floor including her phone. He cocked an eyebrow and smirked.

"There aren't any of your stuff in my table now, right? So this table, is mine" Mia's temper went out of control right now. Her hands balled into a fist, ready to punch the guy any time now. She grabbed the guy's lunch tray and dumped it on his head. At that time, the whole cafeteria stared at her, mouth gaping at what the girl did to the school's number one star.

The guy could only huffed in anger, feeling the watery food ran down his back. Mia smirked and walked off and just when she was next to him, she whispered with a voice that only him can hear.

"Well now, you don't have any lunch either. So you have no reason to sit in here, do you, Mr. Popular?" She smirked and walked out the cafeteria, ignoring the guy's delusional fan girls as she passed them.

"You sure have a death wish."

She turned her head around and could see her best friend making her way to her. She sighed. "How do you know that i'm here?" She stared at him. When he was just right in front of her, he chuckled and pinched her cheek. "You always run off here whenever something happened. So i figured you'll be here." He said and looked around.

"This place never changes." She commented as she sat down, holding her knees close to her chest. "I always love the unchanging, right? But nowadays everything changes. Everyone changes. Except for this place." She added.

Evan stared at her and sat down next to her. After a few minutes of silence, he gathered his courage to ask. "Even me?"

Mia stared into his eyes. Evan stared back at her. For a while, it was just a battle of stares before Mia turned her head the other way and whispered so softly that she was sure Evan couldn't hear her.

"Even you."

You change too, Evan.
