My whole life is gone; spent my whole life investing my time and energy on it and now it's gone. Poof

What should I do now?
I asked to myself.

"Now you have more time to focus on your studies."

Mom gave a suggestion after she saw me wandering around the house aimlessly.

"Go and do some revisions then."

Urgh. Fuck no. It's the summer holiday. Why in the world should I study?

"Mom, I'm going out for a bit."

"What?! What do you mean 'go out'?"

Mom is probably shocked because I'm a home boy. Literally staying at home all the time.

"Yeah, I promise I'll come back before 7."

"Okay then." Mom looked confused but shrugged it out.

The first thing I thought when I stepped out of the door: where should I go?

Genius. Should've thought about this earlier.

Well the park seems like a nice place to loiter around.

Probably should sit on a bench or something.

Found a wooden bench right beside the lake. The view is quiet breathtaking. Birds chirping, people fishing, children running around. Such a lively environment, something I never much experience my whole 'living at home' life.

I wasted my time just by looking at different people while wondering their lifestyles, experiences and much more.
There's an old man just beside me, he was searching for something in the rubbish bin. He seem worried and somehow panicked.

I didn't bothered him much. Since I'm quiet new to the real world, you could say I'm shy.

"Um hey there young lad. Could you lend me a hand here? I'm trying to find a ring that was thrown into the bin."

"Errr... Are you speaking to me?"

"Why no, I'm speaking to the bench you're sitting on." He chuckled quite humorously.

I was quite offended though.

"Why should I help a sarcastically old man. Pfft."

"See, that's the problem. You never faced the real life, young lad."

"Excuse me?"

"Aiden. I'm gonna show you the real world."
