FAITH - BELIEF THAT IS NOT BASED ON PROOF.
"Faith that does nothing is worth nothing. James 2:20." NCV
If you have a headache, most likely you will go the medicine cabinet, retrieve a pain reliever, take one or two tablets and wait for it to work. You were not present at the making of the pill. You were not privy to what ingredients were mixed together, nor what processes were used to fill the capsules or to create the tablets that you so easily ingest.
You've put something in your body without having any firsthand knowledge as to its purity, validity or safety. Why would you do such a thing? You do it because you have faith; faith in the manufacturer, faith in the retailer, and faith in a government that inspects and regulates the pharmaceutical companies.
Faith is confidence and trust in a person or a claim made, which ultimately rests on the confidence or trust in the person MAKING the claim or promise. But faith doesn't end there. Real faith is only complete when you couple a corresponding action with that confident belief.
In the pill example, you believed it would help you and not harm you. Your faith was perfected when you took the next step of ingesting it. At that moment, your faith in the all-mighty pill was complete. So, you see, even unbelievers have faith, just not in the God that created them so they fail to work their faith for its intended purpose.
Faith is a creative spirit. It creates and gives power to manifest the very things for which you are believing. By it the elders received a good report. Faith gave power to Sarai's body to produce a child. It is the power to overcome; even our faith. By faith, Enoch was translated to another dimension.
Faith harnesses the power of God. Hebrews 11.
You believe God for a lot of things today, but is your faith complete? You believe He can, but not so sure if He will. You believe He does, but maybe not for people like you. Here's the good news; if it hasn't happened yet, and you're still looking for it, then you're in faith. And, your faith is the evidence of its future happening. It's the power to bring about its manifestation.
So, don't quit believing. Don't stop production. Don't shut the line down. Your faith is the power source that runs the entire plant.
I believe that God is saying choose one thing that you have faith for and go after it. Move it from your head to your feet. See yourself having, achieving, doing. Get off the couch. Turn off the television. Get off the internet. Get out of bed.
Start putting action to your faith. If it's a new home, start looking for one; a job, go apply. If you're believing for a husband or a wife, begin readying yourself to receive one. Put some action to your belief and make your faith complete.
So, be bold and confess great and mighty things. Be like Joshua and say, "Sun stand still."
Make a decision to walk in complete faith today, for without it, it is impossible to please God. Hebrews 11:6.
Selah.
Prayers and declarations:
I will believe the word that God has confirmed in my heart.
I agree with God that my faith for it is the evidence of its manifestation.
I will not allow what I see or don't see to shake my faith in God because my faith is based on His word, not on what I see.
