Don't say you love me unless
you have seen me dancing in the rain.
I know you won't mean it, until
you've also seen me struggling through pain.

You don't really love someone, until
As much as their light, you love their darkness,
It's only love when, you look at me
the same way, even when I am a mess.

You can't love someone without
knowing their dreams, their fears,
You do love someone when you love them
equally whether they're happy or in tears.

So do not say you love me,
Unless you mean what you say,
And if you do, beware of the demons inside,
Or else, just stay away.
