Chapter 14

(A/n: right outfit is Evelyn's, left outfit is Hadley's)

Evelyn's pov.

It's been 2 weeks since Hadley came home from the hospital and she's fully recovered!
If it was me I think I would be recovering for the rest of my life but she said that her ex-dad has done worse things to her...

So things right now are great besides the fact that tomorrow I have to LEAVE Cali and go back to North Carolina. Time has gone by so fast here, I'm not ready to let go of my summer.

"Hadley, I think we need to talk about something," I quietly said to Hadley.

"Ok... What is it?" Hadley asked curiously.

"Come here," I motioned towards the couch so we could talk face to face. For a while we just sat there because honestly I don't know what to say.

"Well Evie, what is it?!" Halley said impatiently.

"I-...I'm leaving tomorrow to go back to home and I don't know what to do because you're without a family. Also I can't just leave my best friend in the entire universe, to never see again," By this time tears were streaming down my face. I may be a little too emotional, but I can't help it.

Hadley just stared into space for the longest time, I think she's just too overwhelmed right now to say anything.

"I'm sorry. I just...don't know what to do," I whispered. Now I'm bawling my eyes out, I can't control my emotions.

Hadley finally, coming back to reality leans in and wraps her arms around me. We sit there now crying together because honestly both of us don't know what to do.

Right then, Hayes walks in on us. He immediately goes to Hadley and picks her up bridal style, she cries into his shoulder.

"What did you do to her?!" Hayes kinda yelled at me.

"I didn't do anything, gosh it's not my fault we leave Cali tomorrow!" I snapped back at him. Once I saw his facial expression, I regretted what I said.

Hayes carefully laid Hadley down back on the couch, softly kissed her cheek, then ran upstairs to his room.

Oh crap, this isn't good. Hayes really loves Hadley and I think he just realized that what's happening.

Hadley sits up, rubbing her eyes, "I know this is going to sound crazy but ma-maybe I can come with you guys to North Carolina," she said hesitantly.

I sat there for a bit thinking it over, at first I wasn't even going to try asking my mom but you know what I don't give a frick what my mom says.

"Ok yeah let's get you a plane ticket, I honestly don't care what my mom thinks about this situation. I mean she should understand," I told Hadley.

"Evelyn... You're amazing," Hadley said giggling a little.

"I know, I'm amazing," I laughed.

"Come here Evie, I need a hug," Hadley motioned for me to come over to her.

I hugged her and we were like best friend goals in the moment.😂

I told Hayes that Hadley was coming with us and I don't think I've ever seen him happier. But I forgot about one major thing, Matt....

A/n - Hey guys! So I hope you liked this chapter (even tho it sucked) and I know there's lots of drama going on right now but trust me it will all smooth out soon.

Also something VERY important, this book is going to end on chapter 15 like for good, it's going to be completed😔 . Sadly I'm not making a sequel to this book. Don't worry tho bc I'm going to be making a new Hayes fanfic right after this book is over. I'm not going to give too much away about the new book but let's just say it's basically going to be a love story kinda😂.

Also my next fanfic will be 10x better then this one since this one was my 1st fanfic it wasn't very good.
