DO YOU WANT TO PROSPER?

(Serve In the Lord's Vineyard)

TO THE BIBLE Joshua 1:8 AMP

"This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success."

LET'S TALK

Imagine if the Lord asked you this question today: "Would you like to prosper in life?" I'm quite sure that without hesitating you would respond with an empathic "Yes!" In reality, there's nothing wrong with being very prosperous, as some people think. The Lord desires that you live prosperously in every area of your life, for He delights in the prosperity of His children (Psalm 35:27). 3 John 1:2 also expresses this desire of the Spirit for you: "Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers."

The Lord has also given you the choice and ability to prosper as much as you want to. In other words, He's made your progress completely up to you, and you can achieve this by meditating on His Word. As you meditate on the Scriptures by muttering and pondering on them night and day, your spirit becomes seasoned with God's Word, such that you can only think, talk, and live like He does. The Bible shows us this is the way to prosper, not just financially, but in every aspect of our lives - social, academic, psychological etc.

The Apostle Paul, in 1 Timothy 4:15, restated the same truth: "Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all." Your progress, advancement, prosperity, and success become evident for everyone to see, from the moment you begin to meditate on the Word of Christ. This is God's divine road map for true and lasting prosperity.
