Ashley got up with a start and got ready for the day, putting on her black bow on top of her head. Her father made bacon and eggs. Then they floated to school.

"Im scared daddy! Will you be there?" Ashley asked nervously.

"I need to go home. And your 4 years old your can get by without me for a day." her father replied with a hint of sadness. He looked at her. "You look so much like your mother."

"Yea but i got your smarts."

Her father let out a laugh. He hugged you goodbye, and Ashley was on her way to her first class.

She passed many students in the halls and most ingored her. She was the smallest, she could tell by the way some of them looked at her. There were lots of kids near a yellow triangle and blueish purple square. She avoided them, they looked scary to her. They were pulsing with power, and Ashley was rather weak. She wandered the halls trying to get help but she was lost.

She was starting to panic, what if she never made it and got stepped on or something. Tears started to gather in her eyes, until someone taped her shoulder.

"Hello are you alright?" Ashley looked at the demon and she was a pink heart with one eye. "Are you lost?" Ashley nodded sheepishly. This demon was also very strong, she could squish her.

"No need to be scared, i'm Sylvia. What's your name?" the pink heart said.

"My name is Ashley. Can you help me find my next class?" Ashley asked calming down a bit.

"Sure i help lots of the new kids." With Sylvia's directions Ashley was able to find her next class. Sylvia forgot about Ashley after she made it to class. Ashley was never very memorable but that was ok with her.

Ashley had to sit next to a blue triangle how seemed afraid of his own shadow. Ashley decided it would be best to avoid talking to him, to prevent him birsting into tears. She looked at the rest of the class, the yellow triangle was sitting there also. She got worried, what is her classmates didn't like her.

The teacher came in a little while later. "Class, we have a new student." Ashley floated to the front of the class and looked sheepishly at everyone. "This is Ashley Mystery. Now treat her with respect, her mother is a warrior." Ashley was confused, how did the teacher know of her mother? She didn't even know that much about her mom. She took her seat next to the blue triangle who was looking at her with fear and curiosity.

After the lesson the bell rang for recess. Ashley floated out with the rest of the class and went over to the swings and sat down alone thinking. Some red circles and a square came over and shoved her off the swings laughing.

"Why did you do that?" Ashley questioned. She saw the square come over and punch her in one of her eyes. He was blueish purple, the one from the hallway. Ashley winced but didn't make a sound.

"Why aren't you fighting like you oh so great mom?!" He punched her again this time in her other eye. She let out a cry and swatted halfheartedly at him. He laughed and pushed her to the ground and kicked her before walking away with his buddies still laughing.

Ashley couldn't see. She had two black eyes. Someone found her and took her to the nurse, she was in some pain. She told the nurse that she fell off the swings, she didn't want to see the blue boy get in trouble and take out his anger on her.

She went threw the rest of her day as normal. Only she got a few sour glances from her other classmates.  She floated home and bumped into the yellow triangle.

"Sorry." She said, the boy turned and looked at her.

"Its alright, i haven't seen you around. Are you new?" he asked.

"Yes." She replied wanting to get away from him.

"Nice pair of shiners you got there." He pointed to the black eyes. She covered them quickly.

"A bluish purple square gave me them." She said in a low tone. The triangle seemed to pause for a moment and looked at her.

"That was Tad, my brother. I'm Bill." he said. "Now i have to go, nice talking with you." and he flew off, forgeting about Ashley.

Ashley got home and said hi to her father before going to her room deep in thought about the day. Did she really need to go to school every day? Why did that boy pick on her? Why didn't someone like Sylvia help her? Who was that Bill guy? All questions she would never answer. So she retired to bed without a hug from her dad.
