My brother, Ronnie, had dropped me off at school and I went to the office to get my class list.
I was a few minutes late, but it wasn't to bad and the teacher excused me. I took my seat in the very back corner.
The teacher had introduced herself to me and started to teach the class.
Just thirty minutes of the class had gone by, when a police officer came threw the door.
The teacher, whom was Mrs. Green, wasn't really shocked.
"What did he do this time?" She asked the officer, before he spoke.
The officer waved at the door, and other police man escorted a guy in the class room, "Skipping class by the football field, smoking pot."
"Jacoby, can you at least go to one of your classes?" The teacher asked the kid.
He smirked and shook his head, "Nope."
"We're giving him one last chance and escorting him from class to class," The officer said.
The guy rolled his eyes, then scanned the room.
"Take a seat," Mrs. Green said pointing my way, "There is an open desk next to the new girl. You may introduce yourself, then be quiet."
The guy nodded, then smiled at me. "I'm Coby Dick," He chuckled as he looked at me, then glanced at the teacher.
"Jacoby, sit." She demanded, getting a little fed up with his attitude.
The guy sat next to me and propped his feet up on the desk. He eye balled me with the biggest smile on his face, "Names Jacoby Shaddix, whats yours?"
I opened my note book and started to draw. I wanted to ignore him, but my mouth opened, "Cyn."
"Cyn? Just Cyn?" He asked as he took his feet off his desk and leaned on it, "Don't get a last name?"
I looked at him aggervated, "Radke."
"Rad-keee." He said making fun of it, "funny name."
I rolled my eyes and looked forward.
He scooted his chair and desk, closer to mine. He hooked his foot around the leg of my chair, yanking me toward him. "I like your hair," He said as he picked up a few pieces of my hair, "Red is a sexy hair color. Not just any red though, this dark, blood red."
"Jacoby." The teacher barked at him, "Leave the new girl alone and focus on your work."
Jacoby scooted back over to his desk and propped his head up with one arm, looking board as ever.
When class was over, the teacher asked me to stay. She started going over things I needed for class and repeatedly apologized for Jacoby.
"Jacoby." The teacher said looking at him, "Why havent you left?"
"Um, the nice police officer told me to wait for them to go to my next class." He shouted from the back of them room.
I shook my head and walked out the door. I passed the police officer that escorted Jacoby to his first class, as I went to my next.
I walked into my English class and there was a lot of empty seats, but I took one in the back, next to a girl with lavender hair and a old looking, Nirvana shirt on.
"Class, we have a new student," The teacher annouced as he walked in, "I believe her name is Cynthia. Do you go by anything else?"
"Cyn." I said unpleased he had annouced my real name to the world.
