After a few months of Jacoby being sober, it was near our year anniversary. It was the day before actually.

Jacoby had been locked up in our room writing all day. He told me we would go out tonight and do something, but it being nearly nine, I don't think he will, or if my brother would let us.

"What's wrong sis?" Ronnie asked me as he came back from the store.

I looked at the stairs then back at Ronnie, "what do you think?"

"He still hasn't came out and took you anywhere!?" He asked shocked.

I nodded my head.

Ronnie sat the bags in the kitchen then started up the stairs, "I'll have a talk with him."

I just laughed and hoped Jacoby gets an ear full from my brother.

But to my surprise, Ronnie stayed up there for a while.

I started to head up the steps to see what was going on, but my brother finally came out.

"So?" I asked looking at him.

He smiled, "He'll be out in a minute, then you can change before you two head out."

I looked at my brother completely shocked.

He winked at me, then went into the kitchen.

I looked back up the stairs, then at the kitchen.

"You ready babe?" Jacoby asked coming out of my room.

I started up the stairs and glared at him, "no you've been in my room all day! How could I get ready?"

He chuckled, "I'm totally fine with you getting ready while I was in there."

I rolled my eyes and went into my room.

"Hurry! We don't have all night!" Jacoby shouted at me threw the door.

I shook my head in annoyance as I started getting ready.

Once I had finished getting dressed, I went back down stairs. Jacoby and Ronnie were sitting in the living room talking but stopped when they herd me coming.

"Really?" My brother said looking at me, "you can't dress up for a date?"

I shot him a glare.

Jacoby wrapped his arm around my waste and kissed my cheek, "it's okay, I like her better toned down anyways."

I smiled and kissed Jacobys cheek.

"Get out of here you too." My brother said shaking his head.

Jacoby laughed and took my hand, leading me out the door to his car.

He turned on the radio and we sang along to songs till we got where we were going.

We finally got to where ever he was taking me, which was the look out cliff over the beach, where he asked me out a year ago.

"Okay." I said getting out of the car with a smile, "This is sweet."

"I wish I could have taken you to a haunted house though." Jacoby said getting out of the car as well as he walked up behind me.

I turned and looked at him over my shoulder, "This is fine. I like this."

He wrapped his arms around my torso and rested his head on my shoulder, "Are you sure?"

I kissed his cheek and looked out at the ocean below us, "I'm sure."

"Hang on." Jacoby said as he let me go. He kissed me real quick, then ran to his car. He slightly turned it on and hooked his phone up to the aux cord. He started to play 'When I'm gone' by 3 Doors Down. He opened the back seat and grabbed two beers out of a cooler, then headed back over to me, handing me a beer.
