The movie ends and the lights come on. I see tears in Eli's eyes. Elizabeth,or Eli as we call her is my girlfriend....although I have no interest or respect for her anyway. She's always jerking me around and being a jerk to other people. The only reason I'm with her is because her parents will get mad at me if I break up with her." That was such a good movie" she rubs fake tears out of her eye and looks at me. I give a fake smile and we stand up and walk outside.its dark outside."Would y'all mind if we walk with yah?" Says Bennett. Bennett and I have been best friends since preschool. He brought his date too......he actually likes her."Sure why not."." I Loved that seen when they kissed, it was so magical!"." Listen Eli...." before I could finished I was knocked down by a girl ........a black girl. My parents always told me to stay away from them and turn away when they're near me, but when I saw her ....I didn't care. I help her up." Are you ok" I asked worriedly." I'm so sorry!"tears fell from her shiny black eyes." these.......guys pulled up in a car beside me and got out and started picking at me, pulling on my hair,and touching me. I told 'em to lay off and mine their own business and they knocked me to the ground and kicking me.I escaped but they got in their car and chased me and.... And..." She wiped more tears from her eyes." I think I lost'em and they're probably still looking for me. I look over at Eli. Her face is red with anger. She walks over to her and pulls her to the side. I can't quite hear what she's saying, but I guess it's something mean. She pushes the girl away and walks over to me." What is wrong with you, helping that *bad word I can't say*!You know they're dirty and don't deserve our respect at all!"." Hey what's your problem!" The girl interrupts." Get lost rat!". Our argument is interrupted by the vibrating of an engine. A tall strong guys steps out. He has the nicest jacket I've ever seen. I know who it is.....Jeff Stephens. He's one of my schools bullies. He thinks he can do pretty much anything he wants." Well hello precious" a smirk on his face. He's drunk and I can tell. The smell of whiskey runs through my nose. Three other guys get out of the car and surround us." Well what do yah know, Blondy is helping 'er"." You better back off! She didn't do anything to you"I yell at him. He pauses then walks over to me. His cold hard eyes meet mine. Then he looks for a second and BAM his fist slams into my gut. I punch him in the face and he falls into the side of the car. The other three guys walk over to me. I see Bennett standing right beside me. I punch one guy in the face and kick another in the gut. Bennett knees one in the spot and and punches one of them. All four of them get into the car and speed off. "Thank you" she smiles. I look into her eyes and knew she was the one." I need to get home. Mommas gonna kill me" she says with a nervous smile." I'm Allison,by the way". I shake her hand. Out of the corner of my eye I see Eli storm off angrily." I'm sorry about her"." It's no big deal. I deal with jerks like her every day. Oh and why are you being so nice to me?"." I guess I'm just not like the others" I say blushing." That's a good thing. Mosta y'all white folks don't necessarily like us dark skinned people. I never thought I'd meet one who actually liked us"." Yeah I guess not" I frown thinking of the way we treated them." Well I gotta go". I say. I walk one way she walks the other.

When i get home my heart is rushing with happiness. I lay in bed and think about Allison until I fade into a beautiful sleep.
