Kagami woke to the sound of fluttering, a gentle noise that was then followed by a gust of wind.
The white curtains billowed in response, and in it's trail leaving strips of sunshine to stream itself across the room, lighting up the white tiles on the floor and the painting of flowers that hung desolately on the cream colored wall.
Kagami tilted his head and looked at the window, it's curtains still fluttering relentlessly, gentle, without a purpose. His fingers reached up towards his head and wound itself around the flaming red hair; he tugged.
A staggering pain shot through Kagami's head, and lodged itself at the very center of his brain, refusing to back off when Kagami lay down again.
He silently eyed the bottle of water to the left on his nightstand to pass the time. His fingers winding themselves in and out of the metal ring that pressed itself down on his chest, cold and unforgiving. He wondered how he got here, and how he'd gotten changed into the stiff and uncomfortable linen that all the patients wore at hospitals.
Then, from the walls across from him, somebody shrieked a loud, long wail. There was momentary silence, then another one that got louder and louder by the second. It didn't sound like someone in pain, so Kagami just assumed that somebody's relative had died, and the relentless wailer was the result of the unfortunate tragedy. He looked down at his necklace, or at least what he could see of it because of the new chain that was attached to it. He picked it up and then let it fall against his chest, the interlocking metals clanking together.
Just at that moment the doorknob turned and in peeked a blue-haired boy. Kagami sneered and immediately straightened himself against the bed frame. The boy took the gesture as a go ahead and waltzed into the room, hands stuffed in some baggy yoga pants and a lazy smile stretched across his face.
," How's mr. Weak knees feeling?" The boy teased as he collapsed into a chair across from Kagami's bed.
Kagami scoffed and crossed his arms, ignoring the resilient pain that protested at the movement ," And why the hell would I tell you?" And at Kagami's disappointment, the boy's grin stretched even wider across his face. He re-adjusted his position on the bed and coughed.
"you know, for someone who claims to be Seirin's light, you're awfully wobbly when it comes to... Picking up bags." The boy leaned back into his chair, his eyes glinting with mischief ," should we get your legs checked out?" He asked.
"Screw you."
"oh dear!" The boy shot up in his chair and put a hand to his chest ," Oh my, this could not be! The wounded animal strikes back with undermined fury that shocks the fragile peacemaker." The boy fell backwards on his chair to emphasize his point.
Kagami scoffed and rolled his eyes ,"fragile my ass.. And why the hell are u here anyways?" Kagami's eyes trailed down the boy's body, appreciating the hard muscles that lined the boy's stomach as a faint red tinged his cheeks.
Kagami looked away and his head started throbbing. He turned his attention again to the water bottle that stood alone on the dresser, watching a rivulet of water stream down the inside of the bottle.
"You can't be serious right?"
Kagami looked back up at the boy sighed, first it was collapsing in front of him, and now it's come to this? If he took any more of this he would probably faint again, and the blame would be on the hospital for un-proper care.
"What do you want me to remember?" he said sarcastically.
The boy shrugged "I don't know, that's up to you." He looked back at kagami with ocean blue eyes.
