My name, not important. Some say your name is your meaning. That means no name no meaning. Well, that's me, the girl who loves cats and the girl who always helps out, no matter if they're rich or poor. And the girl with no meaning. If people need help, i'm there, no matter the cost. People call me Kylie, Kyle for short. My full 'name' Kylie Morgana Davis/Kyle. People say i'm the town superhero, that i'm a good guy (good girl in this case), I just laugh. I'm not good, no way in my life was I ever good. I died for crying out loud! Well, almost died, I'm presumed dead. Why is everybody still saying that!? Ok, wait, I'm getting ahead of myself. You kinda know about me, dear reader. Here is the rest. I have dark red hair with black streaks, and gray eyes that looks like a cat's. My skin is pale, like really pale. I'm at least 5'9 or something along that line, I've never checked. I have no family or friends. Well, I have 1 friend, and that's about it. His name is Dylan McCormick, son of David McCormick, you know, the second richest man in all of Gotham. Yep, I live in Gotham, how cool is that? It's not. My life sucks, I can't even leave the house without getting beat by my aunt and uncle when i get back. Me and Dylan rarely talk, but when we do, we end up just watching the stars on the roof of the aunt and uncle's house, not even glancing at each other. One time, Aunt Mary caught us. I have NEVER seen her that mad. Once Dylan left, I was thrown into the car, my Uncle Mark driving towards the forest. 'Here we go again.' I thought, thinking that my Aunt and Uncle were just going to leave me there. Man, was i wrong. Once we stopped, Mark grabbed me by the arm and threw me on the ground. Mary had a huge crowbar, and hit me in the rib with it. I stifled a cry while they kept beating me. My heart rate slowed down and i thought i was going to die.

"That's enough Mary. She's dead. Let's go." I heard Mark say.

'They're just going to leave me here?! Wait, why would they not?' I thought. I heard a rustle in the trees and a shadow dropped down out of nowhere. Now, remember dear reader, I'm telling this when I'm 6. I was beat like that when I was 6. Now I'm 16, it's been 10 years. Back to the story, the shadow approached me and stopped a few inches away.

"Now, did those mean people hurt you, dear kitten? I'm Catwoman, and I'm going to make sure your ok." The figure said before she picked me up and carried me to a car I didn't realize was there. I trained with Catwoman once I was better, she turned into a mother figure on my part. Now I'm 16 and fully trained. I'm past Selina's level and now far better than anyone. The memory haunts me when my suppose 'Aunt Mary and Uncle Mark' beat me. Right now, I'm on top of a building, doing my usual patrol. I'm wearing my usual uniform that Selena helped me design. It consist of a spaghetti strap black shirt that goes to my stomach. I have a gray belt with all kinds of gadgets on and in it. My pants are black and go to my ankles. They have gray claw marks on them and are skin tight. My whip is on my hip, as usual. I'm wearing a black jacket that goes to my elbows then folds up and it goes to my torso. My dark red hair is flowing freely, but held back with my goggles I got from Selena for my 15th birthday. My knee high army boots are fastened tight, encase I need to run. Also, I have the black wrist gloves that come with the retractable claws. I'm just watching a news report from my perch when my watch starts to beep.

"Hello, Lucky speaking." I say. That's our little joke with me and Selena. I'm so unlucky most of the time. My name when I'm like this is Shadow or Dusk. I like Shadow the best, it suits me.

"Hey, listen we got a huge problem. A friend of mine needs some help and I-" she doesn't finish before I say "You need me to help her? On it. Where is she?" I hear her sigh then say "No! I need you to come back to the house and watch it. This problem you can't handle. Just come home." 'Selena sounds worried. Selena is NEVER worried' I think. I get up from my perch and go home. As usual, I go through the chimney. I see Selena is already dressed as Catwoman.

"Stay safe." Is all I say before she leaves. I change into black sweats with a blue spaghetti strap and TOMS. It's February, yes, but I like the cold sometimes. Not all the time though. I make myself some hot cocoa and start to watch MAD T.V.

And that's when The Boy Wonder bursts in. 'Here we go' I think as I stand. He looks taken back but then says smoothly, "I need to talk to Ca-Selena." I frown.

"She's not here. I can take a message, though." I say, sipping my hot chocolate. He shakes his head no.

"Whatever. Wanna watch MAD with me?" I ask, trying to be polite. He looks surprised but just plops down on the couch. I turn the TV back on and settle in. 'Selena is going to kill me.' I think as I look at the boy.

"Got any extra clothes?" He asks, obviously not comfortable sitting around in his costume. I nod then fetch the clothes.

"Bathroom. Two doors down, on the left." I say, pointing to the west hall. He nods then goes to change. 'Wow, he's cute.' I think, then shake my head, shooing away the thoughts. I sound like a love-struck girl! GROSS!!!!!!!!! I go to the sink and splash myself with some water. By the time I'm done, he's back watching TV.

'This should be an interesting night.' I think, sitting on the couch.

*THERE YOU GO. I MADE THIS IN THE DEAD OF NIGHT, DON'T JUDGE ME!!!! ANYWAY, ALL THE CHARACTER'S ARE PROPERTY OF DC NATION EXCEPT FOR KYLIE, I MADE HER, ALONG WITH AUNT MARY AND UNCLE MARK. PART 2: A Heroine's Problems With Her Love Life.
